he is absolute quality. I don't think I can name one right back in this league that is equal in terms of technical ability. Same for angelino.

He has a winning attitude. So much respect for this guy. From Empire of Soccer: http://www.empireofsoccer.com/notebook-mashamaite-possible-37520/

While the discussion over whether Frank Lampard will play on the artificial surface is officially tabled for now, right back Andoni Iraola will play tomorrow. Iraola admitted that he was not used to playing on turf but he is not concerned.

“I used to play on turf when I was younger and the team needs wins,” Iraola said. “We must go there and play a good game and just to win.”

I was just about to post the exact same quote. THAT is the mark of a leader. He just jumped way up the list to earning a spot on the back of one of my jerseys.

Do we know how long Iraola is under contract for? Everyone seems to be taking it for a given he'll be around next year, and I'd love for that be the case.

We have just won our first trophy in 31 years. Its fun ng sad andoni is there and not lifting the trophy. Ffs he should have been our captain today.
Amazing win. I was rooting for Bilbao and I wasn't disappointed. I despise everything Barca.

Do we know how he's doing? Hoping that his coming off last game was more pre-caution and that he will be fit for NJRB.

Someone ask Drogba how many bones he heard break while he assaulted him. Any news on a retro-red for him? How is that not exactly the same shit that De Jong pulled (besides the fact that it didn't happen to a USMNT favorite)?

Shouldn't this thread be changed to Iraola (Midfielder) ???
While at it, Shouldn't everyone who has crapped on him come here and take their lumps? For some reason, he has been a whipping boy to many here, with folks saying all sorts of things about his quality.

I'm damn glad to see he's getting some love. But it's still not enough. Ive heard plenty of Lampard/Harrison being the big difference, but it is easily AI who has changed the team.

(And ftr, Mix still never got to play with him at DM, and even last year they were a good pairing in the same side. Also, ftr, I never loved Bravo and credited him only with being better than AJacobsen.)
