I’m all over the place. My GF doesn’t want to go to Citi. Unless it’s on Halloween and we dress up. Who’s good at math and can tell me what I’m rooting for in regards to Yankees and NYCFC?

Philadelphia needs +4 points compared to NYCFC over the final two games.
Columbus needs 2W and 2L for NYCFC since they're 5 points back.

You want one of the two to happen, not both as that would mean taking the girlfriend to Columbus or Philadelphia for the game.

May I suggest Jason Kreis + Ned Grabavoy as a couple costume if your GF has the hair for Ned.

If you want Citi Field on Halloween but not Decision Day I think that's impossible.
If you want Cit Field on Halloween, even if it means DD too, then you want the Yanks to win this series, and at least stay alive deep into the next. They might even have to win the next to push the Knockout Game. My guess is as long as the Yankees aren't swept in the next round (or lose this one) the Yanks will push us out. But that's a guess. We don't have experience with that. You also, we think, want NYCFC to finish third, so the game will be on 10/31. For those details see my post yesterday in Running the Numbers.

My advice to adamadam is... even if his GF has the hair for Ned, tell her she would need a wig because, well, look at his hair. Nobody wants to be told they can pull that off.

Revised advice: never tell your SO she has any capacity to look like Ned Grabavoy.

FYI - I once went with my father and brother to a game as giraffes (was the DC opener last season, and also a jewish holiday where we dress up) and people loved us- next time we tried it, NYCFC staff said that "dressing up in costume is not allowed" so just make sure with the FO that they'll be fine with costumes on a Halloween game before you get your party spoiled by some grumpy old people.

The last season opener was Purim! It was also my daughter’s birthday. So no way I was able to go. Double whammy.

What if you call the costume "Sexy Ned Grabavoy"? Aim to confuse?

Lol, idk who here knows what that is, so I just leave it more general. :) Either way, make sure to ask before you do anything so you don't get someone coming up to you all menacing-like!

Somebody on this forum once claimed a tall Maxi would be Iniesta (?!), so this should do the trick:

Maybe Cyle Larin, I'm not sure any other player haunted us more.

true, but I'm never sure which holidays people do or do not know. Also, I go to Stony Brook University where like 60% of students are international, so I'm so used to having to no one knowing my holidays. xD
