Maxi left the Chicago game early then didn’t play against Minnesota. If the injury goes back to then and he’s still not better this is bad.
Also ridiculous that we are just now becoming aware of this issue. Has he been limited in training all along and nobody was there to report it, or has he just gone on reduced training in recent days?

The international break gave him plenty of time to reflect on the life he has lived and the life he would like to live. He has decided to become a hair dresser.

If we lose vs DC, I want it to be a massively lopsided loss. I’m so close to Burn-it-down regarding this coaching staff that I don’t want a JoseM-last-gasp-vs-Newcastle type win to mask the fact that CFG made a massive mistake handing the keys to Dome and his assistants.

Our player management has been atrocious and non-contact injuries should not be happening.

we havent had our full team since like june we have players missing every game so bad results cant be shocking. medical staff is trash but we knew that already from years ago. thats not including players like ring admitting playing injured

When does any club ever have their full team?

Excuses only go so far, and the free-fall this club is in is chilling. The medical staff has always been atrocious but they only treat injuries, however it’s the coaching staff that causes them (non-contact injuries) with the training.

PV also had injuries in his tenure (non contact, wasnt it Shelton?, i remember there was one consistent one but also others had issues) i still want a new medical staff, no matter who the coaching staff is. im still of the belief that the medical staff freaking retired connor brandt by misdiagnosing him.

its second year in a row the team is lacking bad in the end of the season, last year we can barely win in the last two months. again not shocked at all at the down fall. and we paid for it in the first playoff game 4-1, and while we almost came back, we may have created one chance ( mistake from them in 4-1, penalty, and own goal) so we got cold bad. choked. and i think we also had injury bug, so much Sweat had to play CB

I wasn’t saying the medical team shouldn’t be replaced, they should because there’s a history of bad diagnosis and complications, but ultimately the root cause of non-contact and over-use injures is the coaching & physical performance staff. Earlier this year I was warning/railing on the very real probability that players were gonna get ground up like meat with the switch in training methods because physical training is so specific to each individual and what they can handle.

Our coaching staff has fcked up royally with player management and rotation, and considering Maxi has always been the little engine that could, his continued treatment away from the first team is a major black mark. Toss in the other players that have looked less than spritely with ever diminishing performance and there’s a massive underlying problem. Players that all of a sudden are late to tackles, fluff shots they normally don’t, and have heavy touch are signs of spent legs - which the team has had a lot of during this nosedive of a period. Those guys are one step away from an injury.

Well, it took us until the penultimate game of the season to get there, but we're finally back to blaming everything on the medical staff.
Really? Pray tell who is blaming everything on the medical staff???

Or are ya just feeling saucy on a Friday night and want to stir the pot while failing to be a voice of reason???

Ring wasn't terrible as the 10 when he played it against Minnesota, so maybe Dome goes back there?

ITS-Villa-Medina
------Ring-------
---Ofori-Sands---
Mata-Chanot-Callens-Tinn
-------Johnson-------

It'll be interesting to see whether Dome would start Sands over Amagat, because that would appear to be the calculus there. Then replace Ofori with Herrera for the 15-20 minutes Yangel can play, and you've still got Castellanos and Lewis ready to come off the bench.

Otherwise yes, I guess you could put Medina as the 10.

ITS-Villa-Tati
---Medina---
-Ofori-Ring
Mata-Chanot-Callens-Tinn

Could have either of Taty, Medina or ITS as the 10 with others as inverted wingers or traditional wingers.

Don’t worry everyone, we’ve got Amagat ready to step in. Cup here we come.

Who wants to bet that NYCFC 60 minutes in will look like they have “heavy legs” even though they’ve had three weeks off and DCU will look fresher even though they are on 3 games in a week.

Either outcome is on the respective coaching & performance staffs, they drive training and design the programs for each session.

Frankly, DCs staff has done an absolutely amazing job of rotating and keeping their players fresh with what has amounted to a game every 3/4 days for the last gaggle of weeks.

With the time off, NYCFC should come out looking fresher but off with timing of game speed and probably game fitness. They very easily could tire around 60. But I wouldn’t put any of that on the medical staffs shoulders- as bad as they’ve been overall for all of the seasons, getting Herrera back so fast is rather remarkable and a tip of the hat is due.

Tiredness shows longer in the game. Rusty shows earlier in the game. So I think DC has an advantage for the first 30. It's neutral in the middle 30. Then we have the advent in the final 30.

Actually NYCFC will probably look pretty shitty from the get go, will look really shitty giving up the first goal to DCU, and then will look amazing for 2/3 of the field except for in the final third where DCU will happily put 10 in front of goal and let NYCFC pass the ball around aimlessly so NYCFC wins the stats war but loses the game.

NYCFC is like that famous Darlington Nagbe meme where he’s the best player in the world until he gets into the final third and then it’s “fuck fuck fuck” in the final third. Yup.

So I take it no one wants the free ticket + bus ride to/from dc? (one of my friends decided they will take the offer)
