A quick turnaround as NYCFC travels to Montreal Wednesday to face le Impact.

Sands will not be available as he's with the U17s for the World Cup.

Herrera and Chanot will continue to be unable until after the international break.

Everyone else should be healthy for this one.

Felt like there was 3 or 4 guys who acted injured at some point in the game vs Houston. With such short turnaround, let's hope the big guns are still good to go on Wednesday

If Pirlo and macnamara are in the 11 I'll make better use of my time and just watch highlights.
For many parts of the game when we transitioned to offense, TMac and Pirlo were walking near Ring with a wide expanse of Realestate between them and the forwards. I get it that Ring hangs back most of the time because he's the DMid (although he also made quite a few penetrating runs forward) but WTF were our other two midfielders doing not linking up??? TMac barely ever went forward save for the one point blank opportunity he skied over the bar. Pirlo mad a few runs forward and they usually ended with him putting too much on ever pass. IDK - whatever PV sees in those two is beyond me - they're utterly worthless to the flow of our game and since they've been playing, he rest of the team looks incredibly out of sorts with link up play.

We need Montreal to do us some favors and at least get a point vs. Atlanta tomorrow.

That being said, Ciman, Dzemaili, and Cabrera are all one yellow away from suspension. The first two missing out for this game would have the biggest impact.

We also get three days rest, they only get two. And we have a shorter flight NY to Montreal vs. Atlanta to Montreal.

This match is very important to us for holding onto 2nd, we really need to win to take some pressure off. We were supposed to get 3 points from Houston, but those dropped points leave the door cracked open for Atlanta and Chicago.
Dream scenario is MTL wins tomorrow while losing a couple guys against us to yellow cards. That would give me a little bit of a sigh of relief.

Nobody will call me a fan of the ghost of Pirlo and/or TMac, but with Sands away and Herrera out, who do we have to fill in at MF except for a coming-back-from-injury Mikey? It sounds PV-logical that both TMac and Pirlo will start. Even with Wallace and JLew (if PV starts him hahaha), you only have Wallace and Ring in MF. I dunno. The only hope is that it's an away game, so maybe PV will want more defensive work that they bring, but then who can he field in? Awuah?

And this is why Pirlo was the wrong player to start on Saturday. 3 games in 8 days. Pirlo may have to start 2 of them. Or 3 of them

You only need 1 midfield replacement with Ring back. So Pirlo or TMac. Not both. Start Harrison or Wallace, or Lewis on the wings, and you only need a replacement for Herrera. Or go crazy and bring Harrison back to midfield and put Wallace and Lewis on the wings. There are plenty of options that do not include the double of Pirlo and Tmac

This is going to be me Wednesday night if we see a Pirlo/TMac combo in midfield...

I do like having Harrison in midfield, but I don't think he's started there since we beat the Cows in New Jersey.

He started there for the Seattle game, but didn't really get involved in the game until him and TMac switched and Harrison went wide.
I've been disapointed in how Harrison has played centrally
I have been as well, but I would much rather put a combination of Harrison, Wallace and Lewis on the field, then any combo that includes TMac or Pirlo
