Team played very well in first half considering the lack of playing time. I like the style but I don’t know if the style is sustainable in season with all the injury history.
I thought the first penalty was legit the second no. Maxi can’t take anymore penalties but alas I think that won’t change.
Johnson really sucks on these long distance shots. I don’t think this happens a lot in MLS ( at least I can’t remember off the top of my head) in Central America those wild shots happen all the time.
Defense fuck up in the second goal.
Oh and that second penalty needed to be retaken or invalidated mitri stepped inside before he should.
I guess thanks no VAR or else those penalties may not happen.

All I could think of those last twenty minutes is how much I missed Federico Bravo. He would have broken a couple arms and a leg or two, maybe concussed a couple players and the ref would have maybe given him a yellow
Taty, Mitrita, and Heber picked up a yellow. Another yellow before the final and it's a one game suspension.

Loved seeing us finish. By and large the midfield and forwards played well tonight, even Medina. Maxi and Heber are of course a step above, but no major complaints there. The d needs to tighten up. Tinner looked bad on the first one, and on the third one someone has to shut the guy down. Sure it was a banger, but he had acres. Scally looked a little lost a couple of times, and in general too much pressure on Chanot all night. That will be punished in league play.
RE: game management, not a fan of using all three subs before 70’. That was risky. And too many stupid cards. The reffing was not all that bad for a CONCACAF match in in Central America. Pretty even, maybe even in our favor. We shouldn’t be squandering that advantage with petulance.

apparently we played the match in Honduras, the social media intern not knowing geography is so concacaf.
yup. If we make a run in CCL all of these guys will be suspended for at least a game. Really dumb yellow cards, especially Taty and Heber.
I’m not worried about Heber. He’sa C.F. and disciplined and smart so he rarely gets yellows except on purpose.
Not so much the other 2, especially Taty.
The San Carlos keeper was also way off of his line before Maxi struck the ball, so maybe it all evens out?
And their first goal was offside under most VAR regimes. The calls were all over the place tonight.

A bunch of players appear to have taken advantage of the SoCal/Florida training with their darkened complexions. Had no idea who the new guy was until I heard the announcers say it was Mitrita on the ball. The team’s dermatologist is gonna be busy this year.
