Updated guidance from the PA governor now, saying football is one sport where players would not have to wear a mask as it would likely create a medical issue due to them also wearing a helmet and a mouth guard.

What is interesting about this, is while mouth guards are great safe guards against concussions and other injuries, I don't think NFL players are required to use one. I am not sure about college football rules on this, but I do remember in high school (in Illinois) when I played we were required to use one.

And FWIW, I know Sebastian Ibeagha wears one while he plays.

That's until some stupid Orlando fans throw stuff on the field after we beat them tomorrow. Please.
Yeah it’s definitely an advantage for Orlando. But games played in states like NY and Pennsylvania it’s just a neutral venue. The only benefit to the home team is lack of travel.

Is that even safe for a sport of this intensity? Orlando relocation?

guess we'll have to see how this develops, but i doubt the union would want their players playing with masks either. RBA here we come. lol.

How are we feeling? Confident? Uneasy? I have to work today so I hope to watch a replay on ESPN+ or something later today with a vpn. COYBIB

We should be as well-rested and prepared as we could be at this point. Let's not forget, we played a shitty 25 minutes in Orlando late in the summer, but dominated the rest of the game without Maxi, and had to play Gudi at LB. While we've shrunken in big games, we've peaked at the right time -- and Orlando's never played at this level before. Lots of youth... you just never know. Might be our best scenario -- other than playing in front of a home crowd and doing day-of travel for an away game at noon.

Im also working and missing the game. Really strange to have a 12pm kickoff on a weekend.

Do I enjoy the 12 PM kickoff? Do I enjoy the fact that Orlando is allowing fans during a pandemic? No and no.

But it's the playoffs. IT'S THE PLAYOFFS!
