Will be there as well.

Going to away games in NE and Union....nothing will happen to my car if I park it on their stadium right?....

in parking lots the union provide you should be good. i only went once but like once you get to the streets of chester it looks iffy.

Thanks...won't get car scratched or thrown a beverage because full of NYCFC stickers?

Philly fans are assholes and that's coming from someone from Philly. I support the Eagles and the Flyers, but soccer is where my passion is and NYCFC is my club. I was lucky enough to be able to relocate to NYC and have been a STH ever since.

There's no guarantee it will be safe, unfortunately. especially if you have NYCFC stickers and NY plates. Pretty much makes you a target right off the bat. But, to be fair, I don't think the chances of someone doing something stupid to your car are THAT high. However, as Lion eluded to, it's best to minimize your chances and avoid standing out as the "enemy"

when i went we were parked in part of the parking lot with nycfc fans only some verbal shit our way but that was it. however if the game gets heated or Ref fucks up then they will make you guys stay longer in away section and then bounce asap when they let you go.

I can back this up, NYCFC usually has a separate lot to park all the cars/buses for the away day. It's a slight stroll to get to the stadium but it's not bad. Security is all around so there won't be any chaos like at an Orlando game. The stadium itself is in a shit area, but they try to make it as safe as possible. You should be fine as long as you don't start screaming profanities at Philly fans.

EDIT: Check with Third Rail or NYCSC as they will have more info on the lot. It's a mini tailgate where they hand out the away day tickets and most NYCFC fans meet up in the general area.

IMPORTANT – We will only be providing game tickets for the number of membership seats on your account. This event will be on a first come, first serve basis. Once registration is closed, we will notify you of your status in regards to the trip.

Transportation included. Nice gesture by the club. Hadn't planned on attending, but I registered on a whim. Attended the away match in Chester last season, buying one of the club-subsidized $10 tickets. I figure the free tickets will be in the same section.

Was this an email? Wondering because I have not gotten it and I have not had problems getting team emails to date. I also cannot go, so it's not a substantively important issue.

Yes, email sent at 4:01 p.m. in my case. The fan services/marketing team really should do a better job of coordinating these kinds of messages. Something substantively important will inevitably come up at some point -- with the same sort of first-come first-serve availability -- and goodwill will be needlessly squandered because the organization couldn't get their mailing lists in order.

wow! but this is for season ticket holders, right? I have three tickets through the Third Rail. If I already bought those, they're not gonna cancel them right?

Yes - This promotion is for season ticker holders only. You need a full season City Membership and can only get tickets for the amount of season tickets you own.

Don't give up on your Third Rail tickets. Supporter Groups get priority on away tickets. If Supporter Groups buy out the allotment of away tickets, this promotion will have to be cancelled.

NYCFC reached out to me and auto-refunded the $10 tickets I got from them. Saved me an email and an explanation. Very much appreciated.

Unfortunate that it won't be so easy for TR buyers, and a little ironic given their general dedication and engagement!
