I think those are probably correct. In terms of replacing Sands I think we either see:
1) Acevedo straight swap for Sands
2) Ring moves to Sands position, Deila puts someone on the LW that also would play defense (i.e. not Mitrita)

I feel like an insane person, because the last time Treats started I found myself impressed with how much defensive work he was doing....someone on the LW that also would play defense (i.e. not Mitrita)

Also, as the coach, shouldn't Deila be able to say "I need you to track back and defend more"? rather than playing a goddamned CDM at LW?
I think we will see Rocha in for Sands. with a Medina-Rocha-Parks midfield. GMS, Heber, Ring up top, much like we saw vs Cinci when maxi was injured.
Back line just like vs Cinci.
I don't think Ronny is too keen on Nico as a starter and I don't think he knows his players enough to put anyone but Ring on the LW. I'm guessing his thought process is "this is what has been working, so I will stick with it". I would much prefer to see Ring in the midfield with Parks and Nico. Taty-Heber-Isi up top would be super dangerous. Mitri for Taty or Isi would work too, but that's obviously not going to happen.
I am looking forward to Ronny driving us all completely mad with his inept player selection.

Not alot of defense, but he was pretty good on offense and combined very well on defense.
Excuse my typo, he did not play any defense. My video had every defense action, and it was like 1-2 plays the whole half.I was watching some highlights from last year and seeing Mitri work so hard on offense AND defense really made me angry that he wasn't getting much playing time. I really think he's the type of player who needs to warm up. He's not going to go 200% from the start. As much as I hope Ronny comes to his senses and plays the right players, I don't think it's going to happen. The team continues to win so there won't be any changes by the club.
Have we gotten any word on Matarrita? I don't recall seeing exactly what his injury was or how long he'd be out.
I already got the quote "injuries? I'm not interested in talking about injury statuses."I think, but don't quote me, but I think YES said it was a calf injury suffered in training and that it wasn't serious. I'm shocked we haven't gotten an update on Maxi yet. Anyone know when Deila talks to the media this week?

The article compares his touches in the box compared to Medina with heat maps (and the past/present preferences of Dome allowing Mitriță to roam, but Deila asking him to get in the box) and their defensive work rate as some of you already mentioned. While former coach Domenec Torrent was happy for him to play in a more free role, Deila doesn’t see it that way.
Does Deila really want to risk alienating one of his more talented players in favor of a system that has provided mixed results so far? Medina may have the better work rate, but he also has just five goal contributions in his last 29 league appearances. Sometimes, it is actually as simple as putting your best players on the field.
The Post has a story on Mitriță’s lack of playing time: Why is Alexandru Mitrita the odd man out under Ronny Deila? (9/17)
