Brad Sims to Lead NYCFC as CEO | Matt Goodman as COO

Good. About the meeting that is. Not the long windedness. I've been waiting to hear that he started to hold meets like this.
I think the best value in these meetings though is when Patricof/Sims asks questions and let's the fans talk. It should be a listening tour, not speaking. I get that fans want to ask questions which can lead to long responses but it's not the ideal format.

Despite saying he's on a listening tour, he didn't ask anyone a single question, at least not in the longer sit down. And for person one on one's it was more people asking him questions.

That's all you got? Don't even pretend the stadium topic didn't come up.

Nothing materially new was discussed. As for the stadium, I don't feel anymore optimistic. I thought an announcement would come by March 2019. I've reset my window to 6-18 months, which isn't saying much.

Can you share anything discussed?

Well they did say all discussions are confidential on the email. But I can talk about my feelings!

I sense that your feelings aren’t strong.

Did he discuss the direction of the club over the past 4 years? It’s been a downward trajectory. The stadium is only part of that trajectory.

Nowhere in the article does it say, listens to your fans, or consumers, or customers, or the people that actually keep the team alive.

Would like to know how much of the revenue we actually contribute versus SUM and advertising

There's some promise that we are about to see NYCFC 2.0 as we move towards a new stadium in NYC.
Or you can take the pessimistic view which many will take which is 'they're gearing up for a triple stadium problem and he's here to help sort it out to ease the STHs'.

I prefer your view, of course.

“Matt Goodman will oversee ticket sales, suites/premium seating, corporate partnerships, marketing, business intelligence, analytics, youth programs....”

Analytics doesn’t seem to fit here — unless they really mean “business metrics”? Hard to think this is sports / performance related
