Starting to follow Bundesliga a bit more since I get FS1 and 2 and don't currently get anything that covers Serie A, Ligue one or La Liga. So only thing I really get besides EPL . I've kind of narrowed down my allegiance to Breman because of Sargent or Wolfsburg because I sell Volkswagens lol.

Welcome to the chaos and fun!
Bremen looks to potentially be on the up and up, and Wolfsburg have a decent team too. Hopefully one/both can make a push to get a CL or an EL spot!

Join the Dortmund bandwagon because we've got da bestest fanbase ever :D
If not, you're dead to me. :)
...just kidding of course!
If you're not looking for title races, this league has everything else! Incredible relegation battles year after year (the past 4 or so have been unduly crazy!), and the fight for Europe is also extremely fun to watch... and you can't expect any team to be in one location for many seasons in a row- they fluctuate for some reason, especially in the europa league area. :)

Probably going to keep watching both a bit for now before I make up my mind. Werder VS Schalke tomorrow I will be dvring since it's during work hours.

Nice match 4-2 Breman unfortunately Sargent didn't make the squad. Mckennie did start for Schalke and I suppose they'd also be under consideration because of him though they suck this year.

What is the deal with some of the German teams having the team name across the shoulders and the players names on the lower backs of the jerseys?

In 11 minutes of play, Pulisic got a goal and an assist. Rescued the 3pts.

Dortmund win <3 But Bayern triumphed a 6 goal haul on Wolfsburg to take the lead. It looks more and more like Bayern vs Dortmund is going to be THE crucial game of the season, at home to Bayern. Yikes.

Player names weren't allowed on kits that were sold until the 90s, mostly due to starters having to wear #1-11. Example, if Villa was injured last year, Taty or ITS or whoever replaced him in the starting lineup would have to wear #7. Easier to just put the club name across the top. (LINK) Bayern's owner went to the 94 WC in the US and saw all the fans having NBS or NFL jerseys with player names and numbers, and worked with the DFB to have designated numbers for each player.

Interesting note, German clubs that have it (across the shoulder club name) in the domestic league, aren't allowed to have it in the champions league. The CL rules state a players last name has to be between the shoulder blades, so teams like Bayern have to remove it and use the players name there. Teams like Dortmund however, that have the club on the back albeit below the number, are allowed to keep it there since the last name is still above the number.

i find it weird that eintrecht are playing away today and then away again on thursday against Inter. Why wouldn't their game be rescheduled?

Still have two days in between games. Club probably didn't have a problem with the time split between games or just got lazy and didn't want to have to reschedule it.

my 16th place boys need to get out of relegation territory.
