Center Forward Suggestions

Dos Santos. He is a young and very talented forward. Also he would attract many of the Mexican/Mexican American population that the tri state area has.

Balotelli. NYC FC and the MLS for that matter, need a name who is in his prime and just crazy enough to jump from Europe to the states on a whim. He has the personality that New Yorkers love, Broadway Joe, now Manhattan Mario. He has ties with City and money could get him here.

It's interesting what Kreis and company are going to do. We can all agree that NYC favors players with charisma and style, but the "City Way" and the manner in which Kreis coaches don't reflect that kind of egotistical personality. I favor the team mentality, but I also like my players with a bit of attitude. Ibra, Balo, and Altidore have spunk.

Balotelli is what not just NYC FC needs but MLS as a whole needs. A big name, talented player to come here in his prime. Hes just crazy enough to do it. #manhattanmario

And even if Barca would let us have a loan player, I'd prefer someone like Bojan, Deulofeu or Tello, who has more experience at a top level.

We do need players with EXP points but those players are usually more $$$$$ I would like to have that money spent on MID,DEF or GK and have young ambitious up and coming talent. Even do if we could land Bolatelli I'm game! NYC FC needs a player to get the newspaper fans.

Without knowing the style of play that Kreis wants, if you make a big splash, Chicharito. Hasn't been as big a factor at ManUre that he once was and is young (25). The signing would take place after the World Cup so I would take a shot at him.
That's my rant and I'm sticking to it.~Y.U.

What do people think of the young Chivas striker Erick Torres who coincidentally was referred to as the "new chicharito" whatever the new anything is supposed to mean. Extremely unpredictable what could happen with Chivas between now and next year so it could be perfect time to strike. Haven't seen that much of him but from what I've witnessed so far feel its worth noting his name here.

EDIT-Since noted he's on loan from the Mexican Chivas until June (with possible extension) but its still one to look at perhaps. Wonder why he didn't get more chances in first team according to Wikipedia he has over 60 appearances in Mexican league.

Loic Remy's contract runs out this summer, maybe he might be a good look for NYCFC

That would be incredible, I am really looking forward to the day when MLS can pay the wages and players like Balo and others will prefer to play here to get away from the racist non-sense in Europe.

Not sure we see another DP spent on a forward.

Good options;
1) Teal Bunbury
2) Bobby Wood
3) CJ Sapong
4) Donoyoh
5) kekutta manneh - would prob need to give away a 1st round pick for him..but he would be an exciting acquisition .

Sorry don't mean to pick, but you are making the most realistic lists that I would like to discuss.

1) Maybe, he has found a new home at Revs
2)maybe?
3)Definitely see this one
4)thats the rumor
5) no-way-in-the-world, Whitecaps will not let him go for anything short of Villa himself.

A) Robbie Findley?
B) Luke Moore
C) Arietta
d) Jason Johnson
e) Danny Mwanga
f) Whitecaps' perennial top rookie/big disappointment Omar Salgado?

Nah it's not picking, IDC, these are forums and are meant to discuss on. No worries bro!

A) Robbie Findley is a REAL possibility. kreis knows him, knows his style. I think he would be considered even before Sapong. I don't see him scoring more than 10 goals a season though...even with good service.

B) havent seen enough of him

C) Arietta- intriguing option. Don't know if his style is right for up top with villa though.

D) jason Johnson- I could see this!

E- danny mwanga- tons of talent, would love to see him here. I think he is more talented than his stats would tell you.

F) I'd actually like to take him on a loan to be honest, kind of like what houston did for tony cascio.

Are any of these guys any good. We need to cap tie them if they are.

They are okay, not national team potential though. Would be cool as depth on this team.

Good potential guys to cap tie are

Shawn Parker, Rogelio Funes Mori, Ramiro Funes Mori, Duane Holmes, and Gedion Zelalem.
