Based on preseason performance who would you like to see as our starting CM/CDM?
You may select up to 2 players. Based on voting the leading player would be the starter and following the backups.

You may change your vote. Based on performance in games you may change from one player(s) to another.

Tough to vote for the general CM role, as it would change drastically based on who's put there. Poku / Lamps would be more of a CAM, Pirlo / Mix would be more holding mid, and Bravo / Lopez / AJ would be more CDM. My vote would be for PV to recognize this and start/sub accordingly based on what the score is. Still makes the Mix/Poku placements difficult, but I'd like to see a 4-3-3 with two not-so-wide mids in Mix and Poku to protect the middle, let the LB/RB link up with the wingers on the flanks, and switch the CM between CAM and CDM.

Long story short - start Lamps or Pirlo, get goals, sub for CDM.

That's what we have seen so far. Pirlo playing holding mid and two tucked in LM/RM's. Then our Full backs pushing up and the mids playing those runs in. Saw a lot of balls over the top to Khiry from Pirlo in the Tampa game (didn't watch the last one).

Yeah there have been a number of good balls over the top from midfield - in the Koge game for sure. Even Khiry playing on the left wing, came in a bit and waited for us to get the ball, then played a sick one touch over the top to Villa which led to the penalty and second goal. I saw either Lopez or Bravo play a really nice one over the top that same game as well. Villa still has some good speed, so against a high def line we're either gonna see a lot of fast breaks or a lot of offsides. Unfortunately Villa is really good at both.
