We now are tied with ATL for best GD in the east. We have the 3rd most road points in the league. Only LAFC and POR have more. And POR has played 3 more road games than us and have only 1 more point.

Road points (games played)
LAFC 24 (13)
POR 20 (16)
NYC 19 (13)
PHI 18 (14)
...
ATL 9 (11)

not much to say about this game.. it's a win. not pretty, but it's a win. we were lackluster and not sure why. we didn't have our usual left win back threats as miller and mata just weren't doing it this game.. not sure if it was on purpose?

taty and heber shined and mitri sunk more into lazy pout land.

happy we played short more today and at least TRIED To keep more possession, although our sloppy passing made us lose possession way too easily. hopefully, we can improve on this but it's been this way for the past few games now... not really sure what's going on with that. maybe we are just THAT bad at passing on turf?

My biggest worry now is Chanot, Ring, Sweat are all on yellow card suspension for the crew, I think. The crew will no doubt be a tougher game than FCC. We could very likely lose one of them vs the red bulls and with Sands out.. we'll have to hope callens is better.

Mitrita can't even beat bad defenders. He cant create, he doesn't threat, he is just an ordinary player in this league.
We absolutely need to move on from him this offseason.
As far as being a DP, he’s trash, and the second one at that which CFG scouting has struck out on.

Meanwhile, Medina continues to rot on the bench and offers nothing to the team. If the team can’t sell him/Mitri this offseason, it’s gonna be a real problem with having two horrible DPs and only one buy-out card.

not to mention we more than likely won't have maxi next season.. and if rumors are correct, we'll be using that DP slot to sign mertens, who will hopefully produce as much as maxi.

Just when you think our fullbacks can't get any worse, the soccer gods gave us Eric Miller. I've seen better high school players. Guess that's what 50k gets us.

Worse than Sweat

Sands unlucky. Soccer players don’t break wrists and get shoulder injuries.

Took some time, but he's looking legit now. Maybe the same happens for Mitrita. Medina? No hope.
To be fair to Taty, he came in the summer and jumped in during prime Dome sucks era. In 2019 he came out firing, which I'm sure we would have gotten in 2018 too! ...Mitrita had an offseason with Dome and hasn't done much. That's the difference here imo

I just want to say: We're really good this year. I don't fear anyone in this league.

Sucks about Sands. What a year he had, hopefully he can come back in time for the playoffs.

Heber and Castellanos are beasts. What a 1-2 combo they are at the top of the spear.

Still not willing to give up on Mitrita. The guy is producing, even if he's inconsistent. Six goals he has this year? What's that, third on the team? He's inconsistent game-to-game and minute-to-minute, but he's still productive. For the transfer fee we paid, he needs to be better, but I'm willing to be patient with him.

That was ugly for long stretches, but a win's a win. Now 4 points behind Philadelphia with 3 games in hand. Six of our last 10 games at home. It's starting to get real that this team has a legitimate chance to earn the No. 1 seed in the East. Atlanta, BTW, has only 3 home games left, Philly has 4 of its 7. We're in really good shape over here.

Mitri can at least run past anyone in this league and that gives me hope he can pull a rabbit out of his hat at any moment. Other than that, he just doesn't even seem to be on the right page with our main central distributors

I just think he's got the skills, we can all see it. He's not putting it together this year consistently. But look at his overall numbers. He's productive. Frustrating because we know he has more to give, but still productive. He's nowhere near what Medina is.

I’ve heard that CFG is VERY high on him. Even prior to this season.

Taty has been great. He had a full preseason to prepare and he's worked hard. You can tell that he works hard every game even when other people aren't *cough* mitri *cough*. He's got speed, a great shot, good in the air, and obviously, great work ethic and he's only 20. I hope he stays with us a long time but I'm sure if he continues to perform, we're gonna end up selling him to europe. Taty's biggest flaw is his flopping. If he were stronger on the ball and smarter about when to go down easily and when to stay strong and play through, he'd be even better.

The thing with mitri isn't his lack of talent. We can all see he has talent. His biggest negative is his lack of effort and indifference to what's happening. When's the last time you saw Mitri track back to win back a ball? When's the last time you saw Mitri try to win back a ball HE lost with a poor pass or dribble? When was the last time you saw him even go in for a 50/50 ball? This game I saw him back off at least three times. If it were obvious he was putting his all into every minute of every game he plays, I don't think anyone would really be complaining about him because we'd all at least see, he's putting in the work, he's just unlucky. But he doesn't even try and that is a damn shame and a waste of talent.

With Mitri, it's all about attitude and his is just piss poor. He didn't even celebrate with taty and heber when they scored (that I could see from the crappy FCC cameras). How does he expect to build chemistry with them? You can tell they all try to play with him but it just doesn't click. Something is missing and since no one else is really having problems clicking with each other, it would seem that Mitri is the problem. He is surrounded by americans, south americans, and viking... Maybe just doesn't feel like he belongs?

For all those pundits wondering "Where are NYCFC gonna get their goals from in 2019?"
...We have the 3rd most goals in the league (45- behind LAFC and Philly) with three games in hand on philly and two games in hand on ATL after tmrw. We're doing amazing on goals for!
...Goals against we are 3rd stingiest at 32 (behind LAFC and ATL), but with games in hand that might increase.

I gotta say we're doing much better than last season
