Cityzens Portal

It was definitely PV. See this and the immediately preceding post:

I don't remember Mix happening that way. I think NYCFC announced when they used their annual waiver to buy out Mix's contract. Later I believe Man City announced when they bought the contract from MLS. But I don't think Man City announced that NYCFC waived Mix.

ETA: Actually it was Umbro :laughing::laughing: who announced Mix signing with MCFC:

Ah, that's what I was remembering then!

NYCvsTFC
Tried that and every variation of VS Vs or vs. The more things change.... the more they stay the same.

Why would you guys want to let the team know you watched that trashfire of a match?

What exactly are you all planning on doing with the 10 City points you'll get that make this worth publicly complaining about?
It's the PRINCIPLE of the thing, maaaan.
Seriously, though, I couldn't really care less about the ten points but the fact that they can't get their web infrastructure working is just hilariously amateur-hour.

I apparently won the hospitality suite for Saturday. Someone left a voicemail on my phone today. Anyone have any experience?

I'm guessing this is what used to be called the President's Suite, or something similar. Is it you and one guest? I did that a couple of years ago.

If this is the same thing under a different name, you will share the space with roughly 20 other people, and it was a mix of people affiliated with corporate partners of the club, employee guests, a new employee who transferred from Manchester getting a welcome, etc. 1 or 2 had entire families, and mostly everyone kept to themselves. A good number of club employees were there too, coming and going multiple times during the game. Most of those were in the Partnership department, not Ticketing and Fan Services, except for the one fan rep who set up my arrangement. Most of the Partnership reps took time to chat with my wife and me even though we weren't their department.

There's ample free food but nothing fancy, mostly pizza, mac'n'cheese, hot dogs, pulled pork and such, plus beer and soda. Outside the suite there were 2 rows of seats, first come first served. There's a window behind those seats where you can stand inside the suite and watch from there. The day we went it was March, wet, and cold so nobody ventured outside except for a handful of kids who were in and out. Since we got there early I was able to claim a place inside by the windows.

That's basically it. It's definitely nice but not super elite. This is not where the club hosts truly VIP guests but it is still a worthwhile treat.

So here’s my review of the hospitality suite. It’s “fine” if you’ve ever been in a suite at a Yankee, Mets etc game then you’ve basically experienced them all. You walk in and there’s a private bathroom. They have free drinks (soda, water, Heineken, Heineken light, their non alcoholic Heineken, and wine) the food was ok chicken tenders, hot dogs, burgers that looked very suspect and pulled pork that tasted like it was left over from the home opener. The suite is nice the seats are comfortable the viewing areas are good. The employees were all nice but they kept referring to my wife and I as “The Cityzens” which was awkward. I get it you’re there for the corporate guests but we just felt out of place. I’ve been to a bunch of these for work and as a guest of friends so I know they’re usually stuffy. Basically if you put almost any group of coworkers and friends in a room and add a couple random strangers it’ll be awkward for everyone so I get it. Yesterday for me it wasn’t for work or as a guest so I didn’t care. Had my Heinekens and tried to enjoy the day with my wife. I probably wouldn’t do it again since it was uncomfortable but it was fine.

Wow. This looks like an amazing way to use points. Glad they listened and upped their game. 500 points to get into a bar. These guys are definitely having a laugh at our expense now.

Not surprisingly, nobody has bit yet.

Great day for the marketing team that sends out an email about the Parley jerseys a few hours after they're sold out.
