Connecticut Supporters

Wait, I hadn't seen this before: http://annaliffeys.com/liffeys-presents-nycfc-ct-official-supporters-club/

This is where I'll be headed i think.
What's this Connecticut Yankee supporters firm stuff? Is this another supporters club?

First one is from the teams pub partners page, second one was from Anna Liffey's web page. I have no idea what that supporters help is like, but the bar said they would be organizing trips etc

Would caution against Liffey's. Way far out from Fairfield CT, and the degrees of "giveashit" about soccer have lessened in a big way from them over the last six months.
Really? The one in new Haven? Or the one in Fairfield? I'm willing to give them a chance since I am not finding better options. You have anything in mind?

Seems like a different supporters club than the Third Rail, or am I reading that wrong? Not saying its a bad thing but would like to know if it is another supporters club, who is behind it.

Yeah, the one in New Haven has constant turnover, so the service gets pretty rough.

And when I've been there in the past for US National Team games, they relegated me and my group to a tiny tv in a corner so that a cover band could play to no one in the main room. Granted, game was on a Saturday, but again - giveashit level is definitely based on convenience and whether it's Premier League.

I'm encouraged that they're actually advertising this, but I'm not sure I'd go into it expecting much. Former employees of the Liff have told me some bad things about the way that place is run, and the quality of their pours of Guinness has declined massively over the last year and a half.

It is not Third Rail affiliated, from everything I can tell.

It seems like ao fairfield goes to Anna Liffey in Fairfield. I have seen some mention of nick Chavez going there. For whatever that is worth. I'll definitely give it a chance. But what you describe drives me nuts

I'm likely going to make the trip in on Metro North for the Orlando watch party at Ryan's daughter. Any CT people going to do the same? Want to meet up on the train?

Sorry Tom. Hope I don't lose any street cred over this but coming all the way from New Haven don't think I'm going to spend the time or money to head into the City to watch at a pub. Probably just watch at home and save for heading in for the home opener the next week.

Is anyone going to Center Street or Anna Liffey's for this Sunday's game?

I saw Center Street Public House (22 Center Street) in Darien listed on the NYCFC website but not Anna Liffey's (1494 Post Road) in Fairfield. Does anyone know if both locations are going to be listed on the NYCFC website and is the NYCFC website being updated to reflect this?

The hardest thing about finding a spot for this is finding a bar who's actually going to take it all that seriously.

I may watch the next road game from Center Street.

On another note, anyone taking Metro North from Norwalk on Sunday? A buddy and I may grab a drink in SoNo before hitting the train.

I am most likely going to drive on Sunday, but if anyone finds a restaurant / pub that has decent TVs and will play audio for away NYCFC matches, please post the locations here.

I am a little surprised that Center Street Public House has not posted anything yet in this thread.

There is a location in White Plains New York that may be an option.
