COVID-19 - Leagues Suspended

nope....RBA
I'm not completely certain that will be the case. For the MLS season games, the club won't have the same restrictions that CONCACAF has imposed so that should open up many other venues.

Considering Sims' comments on the situation leading to playing at RBA, I would be surprised if there were any MLS season home games held at RBA. YS and Citi will still probably be able to cover most of the games. Any other spillovers could probably be at Belson, or other smaller venues.

I think the league will work with NYCFC to find scheduling scenarios that work. Both stadiums will be closed to NYCFC in October, with Citi Field perhaps opening up if the Mets aren't in the playoffs. So I think we'll see a lot of weekday games now when the Yankees are on the road. But I think MLS will work closely with the team to reschedule games in a way that makes sense for NYCFC. This won't be another CONCACAF scenario.

I have my doubts about there being sufficient YS and CF availability but I'm basically making a somewhat informed guess. OTOH I don't see Belson as a viable option at all. The capacity is completely insufficient. They would have to refund 80-90% of STH tickets every game.

Yale bowl is probably available :p *ducks objects thrown by everyone else on here who's not from Connecticut *

can we? i thought part of reason we could not go to hartford ( or CT in general) was because it fell under "NE revolution" territory

Guess it was a matter of time, but NYCFC has announced a coronavirus case in the sporting department.

So we can likely link this to that CCL game. Yikes.

As of now, it looks as though I won't be able to see my son until he is released from the hospital. Hopefully this abates in the next two months and restrictions are loosened.
Wait, did your wife just deliver?

But none of the other major league sports that I can tell.

At the rate the NBA is going, the entire league is probably already infected and they’ll be recovered in a month.

I’m kidding, but not kidding. Still don’t understand how the Nets got players tested who were asymptomatic.....
