Cristiano Ronaldo To MLS?

Everyone is different, look at Torres guy is 30 he's a shell of his former self or Ronaldinho after Barca won the CL he never was the same player as he was before he was only 26 or 27 But you see Lampard at almost 37 guy can still go and better than most midfielders in the world. Ronaldo at 33 should be fine barring any serious injuries but we'll see till then long ways to go. As much I would perfer too see Messi in MLS for many reasons over Ronaldo. Ronaldo wants to come give more press and more exposure for MLS Im all for it.

When the reports mention New York, maybe they mean Ronaldo wants to bring glory to the f.cosmos to recreate the allure of the club whose name they bought. :D

My speculation but if Ronaldo comes, then some club here will go all in on trying to get Messi here, too. I've always believed that Ronaldo will go to LA, maybe Miami, because those places match his lifestyle but I could see Messi coming to NY because he doesn't seem to be the "beach and nice weather only" type.

That's the rumor of the day - but wouldn't be until his contract with RM is up in 2018.

If he does come to MLS, I would think we'd be a top candidate since Yankee Stadium might be the only venue big enough to hold his ego.

Like you said, if he does come, it'll be when his contract with RM ends. And those rumors come from good sources, not just some random blogs.
Someone is already trying to get his attention. We havent done that much yet. But in the end, in my own personal opinion, I think it'll come down to who can pay him more.

Ronaldo likes America. He adores LA.

If Beckham doesn't have Miami up and running in 2018 (and it looks like that will be the case) then I have ZERO doubts Ronaldo will suit up for Los Angeles FC in 2018.

One of the legion of billionaire/multimillionaire owners of LAFC is Magic Johnson....

You realize there's equal amount of pics on the web of CR actually in Miami and not just wearing a Yankees cap?

My money is on Beckham and Miami.

My money is he goes elsewhere before the end of his Real Madrid contract.

I'll take that bet.

There's no reason for him to stay in Europe. He's conquered it.

It will be time for a new frontier...

Why Cristiano Ronaldo is more likely to move to America than Manchester United

There are those within Old Trafford who regard the return of Cristiano Ronaldo as the ultimate coup.
A marketing gold mine and proof to investors on the New York Stock Exchange of Manchester United’s enduring status as one of the most valuable brands in sport.

Yet a move to the Big Apple, the Golden State or the like, increasingly looks like more of a reality than him ever rocking up in Manchester again.

Whispers of his desire to end his career across the Atlantic are getting louder.

If so, he would be the latest in a lengthening line of United’s Magnificent 7s to be lured to the States - following in the footsteps of George Best, David Beckham and Eric Cantona.

Cantona never played in the US, but was director of soccer at the reformed New York Cosmos.

A club that once had the pulling power to lure Pele and Franz Beckenbauer, needed the Frenchman’s profile to kick-start their rebirth in 2010.

The unfortunate part about CFG is that in 3 years or whenever his contract is up and he might come to MLS and he is still a very good player there is no way that he would be able to come here without making a pit stop at City first.

I was thinking the same.

Unless Ronaldo himself says I'm going to America only.

Which is possible, especially with his United ties.
