David Villa Sanchez [Forward]

Villa tribute video for his clubs and national team, celebrating 400 goals.
I don't love that all his public statements were about not dwelling on this and focusing on 402, and then we get more than a week's worth of celebratory content on either side of a devastating team loss.

MLS / NYCFC / CFG were going to roll this out whenever #400 happened, regardless of tone-deafness. Much like a famous person's obituary, these video packages have been 99% ready for months.

In my mind, this is an incredible achievement that should be appreciated and celebrated. A regular season loss to some team from New Jersey (albeit ugly) should not play any role in interfering with that. Nor should any statements on focusing on the next goal.

Villa has 7 goals and 3 assists in 9 games (7 starts), and only 5 offside calls. He's on pace for 50% fewer offside calls from last year, which, to me, is a big testament to how we've played through the spine around defenses and not relied on getting behind them.

Do they give a stat on who makes a pass when players are caught offside? I wonder if part of it is that the guys around him are better and are making better passes to spring him.

This isn't sourced info, but I'm 90% certain it's AMC 84th Street and Broadway.
Looks like it could be, and it is one of the best theaters in the city. I hands down prefer taking the cross-town bus to go to a show there than staying on the UES and seeing one in one of the two theaters here.

i assume its the bigger 66th street one . i think i read ( here or on twitter) that he lived in that Lincoln center area

if this was 84th street one and he lives near there i feel like i would of bumped into him somwhere in area since i live blocks away lol ( though its probably just my bad luck never running into him at least from a far)
