English Championship 19/20

Couldn't watch it because we are traveling for a wedding. Did you? How was it? Was there much beef over the handling of the Daniel James transfer?
I wanted to but had family obligations and could not watch either, but the stats and every account agree: Leeds dominated possession, had most of the chances but Swansea were disciplined, and the goal scored off a corner that stayed in the area forever, was touched several times, and Leeds could not clear. The shot that went in was a dying quail that just knew exactly where to go.

I’m a season ticket holder, & it was very much 1 way traffic as usual under Bielsa. We just lack being ruthless early on. If we get the first goal teams then have to open up & we can go on to win 2/3/4-0 but the longer it stays 0-0 they dig in & there’s always a chance of the other team nicking it

Brentford turn it around from the first leg and put Swansea out. With Fulham holding a 2-0 first leg lead I get the feeling we're getting a all West London promotion final.

SO my work is closing early do to the impending tropical storm (which doesn't even sound that bad here) so my plan is now to borrow my buddy's espn plus login and watch this final live. Brentford is the sexier pick never having been up but Craven Cottage is probably my favorite English ground I've been to out of 7 and all the Yanks etc. so I think I'm opting for the Whites.

I'm going for Brentford bc it'll be such a great story.

Glad I was able to watch that live. I'd hope Fulham have learned some lessons from last season but we shall see. Seems like a lot of people thought Brentford had gotten big headed as the season went and not too many fans are sorry for them.

Scott Parker came up with a game plan and changed Fulham;s style up after losing to Brentford twice during the season have to give him credit for that.

Went back and checked 2 Fulham starters tonight , Ream and Odoi , also started when I went to Craven Cottage 4 years ago. Scott Parker was also in the lineup this year.

Not sure Ream is good enough to play much in the EPL though it's great to have an American in there. I do think Mitrovic can score at the highest level (not quite as much as in the Championship obviously) but he can score unlike some who can't make the jump. I think the reason no one came in with a big bid to keep him in the EPL when Fulham went down was not because he can't score at that level but because he's a nutter demonstrated tonight when he threw that Brentford player to the ground for seemingly no reason drawing a yellow that could have been a red.
