Did not have 3 going in. Used all my transfers every prior round then used wildcard for round 4. Currently showing 3 free transfers. Wild Card looks more powerful than originally thought.
I can confirm this as well. I did not have 3 transfers going in to last week and used my wildcard. I actually used what I thought were my two free transfers this morning, and after reading this thread went back and checked to see I still have one more free transfer left.
I checked the rules. I can't find any reference to getting 3 after a wildcard. It specifically does say that if you have a saved transfer going into a wildcats you lose it. So you're either benefitting from an undocumented rule or a mistake or I missed something.
Here's my question, do you think it's more beneficial to play someone he is likely to get a lot of points from one match, or a player who is only like to get a little amount of points but in a DGW?
Its too early in the season to be a perfect indicator, but I use the points/game stat a lot. You should do better starting a player who averages 7 points a game who only plays one game in a week over another player who has a double game week but only averages 3 points a game.
Tom is right, to maximize DGW points you have to figure out who will actually play both games. I went with Kjestan instead of Fehlhaber last week because I thought Sasha was much more likely than Fehlhaber to play both games this week because Benny is coming off of an injury, but we will see if that happens or not.

We're coming up on Round 10. Three rounds later 8 teams have Byes. If you have not yet played your first Wildcard, that would probably be the time to use it. 8 teams also have byes in Round 18, but I think that's when the second half starts so the first-half bye should be used before then.
If you already used your Wildcard, consider arranging your roster starting now to get ready by switching out players from those teams. The hard decisions come because 5 of the 8 teams have DGWs between now and then.
