The cityzens email announces an open practice on Monday before “our first playoff game at Yankee Stadium”. No way that this could go wrong.

Hey intern, no really intern, pay attention:

NYCFC HASNT CLINCHED A HOME PLAYOFF GAME
It could just be a tactical thing by the FO to scare the players into forcing a tie/win. At this point they've gotta know.

GF and I got our costumes. If we’re not hosting, I’m sure we can figure out somewhere else to wear them.

I want to be excited for this match, since we are playing at home, and we are playing a team we just beat, and yet I’ve been watching this team crash and burn lately, and so I don’t want to have too high of expectations, for fear the team will crush them

Think how philly feels. They could have locked up a home match by winning at home vs NJ last week and blew that opportunity. Then they get crushed in NYC, a team who haven’t had their full squad till this match, (yet still only lost there once all season) and have to go right back there and do it all over again.

I really was wishing Columbus would blow it, because it is going to be really tough to beat them twice in a row. I know game states come into play but Philly did look much better in the second half and could have easily been 2-2 without the own goal and Johnson’s save.

While Philly doesn’t have any superstars, they have an excellent system and Dockal runs their offense. I think Lumbus would have been a much better matchup. Going to be a rough one on Wednesday. (Yeah I know it hasn’t been announced but the 3-6 games are usually on Wednesday).

I also felt Philly were a somewhat dangerous opponent, considering we were 2-0 inside 12 min. Very fast, very physical, youngish. And Ilsinho really highlighted Sweat and Mata's limitations 1-v-1.

My MLS calendar is showing 6pm on Wednesday. 6pm feels too early. That can’t be right, can it?

ETA: also, Unimas??!

6pm sounds like a joke. who can make a game at 6pm on a wednesday? They need to make the game 8pm or maybe even 9pm to give enough time for people to show up. (8pm would be fine, even just 7:30pm too)

Maybe it’s just a placeholder, till they have a real time? No one is getting back from work to a 6pm match. Doesn’t even make sense to have the west coast match start at 9. That would be the same 6pm over in LA.
