Below assumes Mitri can go as a late sub off the bench.

New York City FC have one player “out” and one player “questionable” for Saturday afternoon’s matchup with the Orlando City SC.

Alexandru Mitriță remains “questionable” after suffering an ankle injury last weekend in D.C. and missing out on the Wednesday night home win over Chicago Fire.

Ronald Matarrita exited the midweek match in the 31st minute with a calf injury and remains “out” for Saturday.

Can NYC make it three from three this week? Pull up to Yankee Stadium to find out!

For those who can’t make it, the game will be broadcasted live on the YES Network, with radio commentary available in English and Spanish at NYCFC.com/Radio.

Injury Report
  • QUESTIONABLE: Alexandru Mitriță (ankle injury)
  • OUT: Ronald Matarrita (calf injury)

i think taty has earned his spot for now. but wouldnt be suprised if ISI comes in for Heber who has recently put in a lot of minutes
Yeah I'm thinking if Orlando plays 3 ATB like they have been, having two guys who like to drop deeper and do some playmaking will cause more trouble, which is what lead me to a front 3 of Maxi, Héber and ITS. I'm mostly concerned about the lack of movement we saw on Wednesday night.

If we're concerned about Héber's minutes I would start as above and bring in Taty later. Or maybe start Taty and bring in Héber if we're chasing goals.

But yeah, it's def a margin call.

I left Rocha out on the theory that if Sweat can't go the full 90, then we move Ofori over there as he is also left footed, has played a little FB, and the position is more forward now anyway.

Tough call between Taty and either Isi or JLew, but I figure Taty has earned it - as others have pointed out.

I really wonder if all of those guys are fit to start and go 90. Certainly some are not, and we will probably see some other guys get the nod.

Lol we've talked about Ofori as LWB / LB before. And seen it before against the RB for a half I believe. It wasn't good.

I’m not sure I see Taty as playing underneath Heber, and think Isi is much better suited for it.

Taty has a very good match at Minnesota, and that was when he was playing in Heber’s spot.

Wednesday night, sure, he got the goal, but other than that, he really didn’t provide much at all.

I feel like Isi is a better fit playing underneath either Heber or Taty

i thought Taty (as well as the rest of the team) was playing well until Mata got hurt. Im happy with either of them starting to be honest.

Fair, I think they both only lasted a half lolol. And if Ofori gets moved over because of a Sweat injury then maybe we get to see Parks. Fine Gotham Gator Gotham Gator you win ;)

I’d rather see Isi in the LWB roll over both ofori & Rocha. I might even want to see him over sweat.

Haha, I'd be worried about seeing him exposed defensively.

Also I think the only time he's ever played as a traditional winger was against Orlando last year (the one-time we've seen Dome's 4-1-4-1) and he wasn't really dialed in on his crosses. Not saying it can't happen for him but definitely isn't where he seems most comfortable.

I get why you want more technical ballers on the pitch tho.

LWB requires Isi to track back, but it still carries less defensive responsibility than a pure LB in a 433. I’d sacrifice some defense for the added offense and skill he could bring to the position. I’d also try Jlew there as well.

To be honest, it requires being able to sit back and defend as part of a 5-man backline. That’s more of the concern.

That, and instinctively knowing when and how l to break up a play in the open field.
