not sure how you’re getting there. But if you have a car. This is about as an American meal as you can get in the great state of NJ. About 20 minutes drive from RBA (not sure how many minutes that translates to in metric).

They also just opened the American Dream mall. Has lots of cool attractions like a Nickelodeon studios (if you have kids) or an indoor ski slope. Also 20 minutes and close to ruts hut.

After those 2 things no much to see. But there are ferry rides to the statue of liberty they leave from NJ by the science museum.

Now about what to wear....

Haha, I am not a fan of NJ. I really don’t know what Springsteen sees in it. It’s industrial, dirty, smells weird, and very difficult to drive through. I ❤ NY

As for the football, i dont think we treat it with the same reverence as european teams treat the UEFA Champions League.
I mean, if all you ever do in NJ is drive south on 95, of course you're going to think that.

Will we even hit 1K for this? TR is out. Other groups are out. Most of the rest are out due to availability, inconvenience and/or protest. In addition to sucking for us, it sucks for the players. This may turn out to be our most meaningful game so far since inception (other than playoff games) and it’s going to be crickets.

Yeah, it’s not great! I get that Harrison is a stretch at 6 on a Wednesday, but the boycott is dumb. It’s international competition; we should show up

Someone should set up a microphone in the RB supporter section and project the groups singing from the bronx lol

I probably can't make it due to location and early start, same as everyone else. But I'm going to get my free ticket(s) and if my day allows it, I'll leave work early and go. The early start has the upside that if you do go, the long trip home from Harrison will start unusually early. For all the reasons you stated, I think anyone who can make it work should suck it up and head out.

Are the third rail officially boycotting? I know they sent out that joint statement but that was prior to all the news and interviews. Pretty stupid if they don't show up for the players. I'll try to head out if I can.. but it will be a last minute decision.

Yes. I am not a member but saw their announcement yesterday posted elsewhere on social media (I won't post it here) announcing a boycott and alternative watch-party plans, etc.

The Sky Blue Crickets SC will be there.

Anyone got any extra season tickets they can lend for me to get in? Or that won't work and I'll have to buy? I'm thinking I'll work 8-4 on that day and go support our boys in blue

Wonder how appreciative Ring, Maxi, Heber, Taty, Isi, Mitri, Tinny, Parks, Sands, Chanot, Mata, Johnson... will be of this kind of "support" by Third Rail.
Is The Third Rail that touchy that they will give up supporting the team and refuse to attend a "home" match in Jersey.
The team will not hear your voices from a bar in the Bronx.
I'm sure this post will make me public enemy number three after CFG and the Red Bulls.
I think this is a pretty lame and spiteful nose/face move by a "supporters group".

I agree with you 100%. Not making it cause you can't get out of work or something is one thing... But a supporter group pulling this is bad form. You'd never see the 3252 doing this shit.

I am not sure why anyone would assume playing at RBA is the fault of the Club at all. This is CONCACAF and everyone should assume the problem is with CONCACAF and not the NYCFC FO. The Club is probably still negotiating with CONCACAF about YS in March and can't come right out and say "we are playing in RBA because CONCACAF is a bunch of a**holes". That's the message I heard from the FO between the lines and it rings true to me. I have been keeping my afternoon free for months to be able to go to the game even if we kick ass in San Carlos and the outcome of the tie is not in doubt.

Here's the latest mail I've had from the club.......
For the CCL game at RB Arena, they should be on sale next week! Unfortunately they will only be for sale online. I would check www.ticketmaster.com in the coming days to see when they are first posted for sale.
Now if anyone has some spare tickets.......please let me know.
PS PATH from WTC looks a good option - anyone agree / disagree ?

I would note that this is co-signed by all the major supporter groups, not just The Third Rail, hence the joint-watch party in Manhattan.

I understand the concern that it "normalizes" seeing the team playing at RBA. And if this were the 2019 MLS Cup (as it was rumored we might have to play at RBA had we made it), maybe I would be inclined not to attend, but given the circumstances with CONCACAF that's not the route I would choose in this case. But for the fact that I am out of the country, I would try to attend the game.

Since I cannot, if the tickets are transferable, I will freely transfer my ticket to someone who can go

No they just have to deal with their Best XI CB being traded right before their Champions League matches for half of the transfer fee we got for our backup RB who has never played an MLS minute (and is available to us).

I’m really getting fed up with the CFG bs. But i can’t blame the FO on this one. And for sure not the players and coaching staff. This is how we introduce ourselves to them? If i was in the country, I’d go too.
