it's my understanding that RBA was their only - and closest - option of the two that that CONCACAF approved
it's probably hard for me to empathize with those choosing to boycott since I don't share the same animosity against the Red Bulls

With that, it’s probably a good time to drop the discussion of what makes a fan tick and who’s more supporting etc etc etc.

I’m not directing this at you specifically, but anybody on this board or social media making value judgements about others’ time and life choices about a midweek early match should take a giant step back.
Champions league games seem to be exactly or one-two minutes off. They have a schedule because the next games start at 8pm sharp, then 10, etc. So they've been all pretty on time.
