I leave work in downtown Bklyn at 5, so I think I can make to RB Arena by 6 by subway and Path. Even if it belongs to the NJCows, I think it is exciting to see them have a home match in a proper soccer stadium. Dreaming of 2024...

BTW, does anybody know if NYCFC will stream the away game on the 20th? I'm going to be in Peru, so I will only be able to watch if it is streamed.

Can't cha VPN and use your tv streaming?

Just a little recap of what Sims told Blue City Radio:

-NYCFC is taking a loss at RBA, and will take a loss throughout CCL (Unknown if this is true, especially if we can bank on Tigres at YS)
-Sims alluded to CONCACAF being a huge asshole with the process, likely for its own perception, and forced RBA on us after offering to put "Substantial" amounts of money into other facilities
-Thursday night's comment about nothing being done is true, as Sims threw a Hail Mary by increasing its spending to make another NYC field "compliant". Not sure which location this is.

More than anything, this makes CONCACAF look bad, as it already does for swaths of fans in North America. They were unwavering in accepting anything other than RBA, as it is the premier SSS in the area.

I am not too tech savvy. When I have streamed I have used the links at "Roja Directa" which are a hotbed of malware. Every time I have done so (mostly to watch Peru during qualifying or Copa America) I have had nightmares of stolen ID or ransomware, etc.

Try using some free VPN services. Windscribe is free for a limited number of bandwidth but should be enough for a game. You can select locations and everything. They offer several different methods to use it. Pretty straight forward.

Hi All.

I'm visiting from the UK in a couple of weeks and want to get to this game with my son and granddaughter (15 months)

I can't find any tickets on Ticket Master or StubHub. I emailed the club who pointed me at TM - but I can't see anything.

Any suggestions, please ?

no one knows. STHs didn’t get anything yet either. No answers from anyone.

i heard Concacaf keeps all the profits and forced this location on the club. If so, maybe club is waiting for Concacaf to list the tickets and Not doing them any favors with listing or promotions. If i were the club I’d probably hand out free drinks and food outside to the supporters who come and tell them not to buy inside.

So is there anyone out there with a ticket ?

To be honest, chances are you'd be able to get tickets at the stadium when if you can't find them on Ticketmaster. It's definitely not gonna be sold out. Don't know if there's a discount buying on Ticketmaster vs at the stadium but you should be ok. Give it some time and check Ticketmaster.. I'm sure something will show up in a week or so..

As for STH, I believe emails will go out next week and then you can choose one seat per account ticket with an option to add more for very little $$. I would assume that the public sale will happen very shortly after that on TM as they don't want to sell to the public before STH.

Just so you know, this will be a sparsely attended game by our standards. Should still be interesting, and I am glad you are making the effort. I just don't want you to think this will be comparable to our typical games in the league.

I'm just keen to see some football - sorry, soccer - whilst visiting. This has caught my eve with it being CCL.
I guessed from reading through that it's not a popular choice of time/venue, but a low crowd is not a problem for me.
We would have liked to attend YS - but at least I get to see NJ ......is it as good as 'The Boss' makes it sound ?

Haha, I am not a fan of NJ. I really don’t know what Springsteen sees in it. It’s industrial, dirty, smells weird, and very difficult to drive through. I ❤ NY

As for the football, i dont think we treat it with the same reverence as european teams treat the UEFA Champions League.

Supposed to be a great stadium for watching football. It just won't have that many people in it.

CCL is not as big a deal here as UCL is in Europe - although that's changing. Here, the league games are much bigger. Plus, this is an early round contest against a team from Costa Rica, which is less exciting. If we advance and start playing the Mexican teams, those games will draw more fans. Top it off with the fact that it is a weeknight game all the way out in New Jersey, and that's a recipe for a small crowd, sadly.

not sure how you’re getting there. But if you have a car. This is about as an American meal as you can get in the great state of NJ. About 20 minutes drive from RBA (not sure how many minutes that translates to in metric).

They also just opened the American Dream mall. Has lots of cool attractions like a Nickelodeon studios (if you have kids) or an indoor ski slope. Also 20 minutes and close to ruts hut.

After those 2 things no much to see. But there are ferry rides to the statue of liberty they leave from NJ by the science museum.

Now about what to wear....

I heard on Soccer in the City that the nickname for San Carlos is Los Toros.

yep, you guessed it...NYCFC is playing a team nicknamed “the Bulls” in Red Bull Arena.
