Mind boggling until realizing that the club has had an epiphany that they can go after the larger base of soccer fans that have absolutely zero interest in MLS and would never buy a ticket to NYCFC. It’s defeatist on one hand and entrepreneurial on the other.

Have to assume that between Copa America and Gold Cup they'll be showing the NYCFC game. So this is a play to get people to at least watch an NYCFC game? Kind of guerrilla marketing?

At least if maxi, Chanot, Taty pick up a card they still play in USOC Wednesday and we should have a replacement for them ready by NJ on Sunday.
