Home - November 1 - Red Bulls (Postgame)

I think I can speak for everyone who is on the forum and who isn't on the forum when I say this:

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

That was awesome. Defense was shaky in the first half but shut them down in the second. It was nice actually finishing our chances and taking shots on goal for a change. Still had a lot of opportunities where we’re just not getting the ball on net while possessing in and around the box. Hell of a win. Happy for Taty!

Great game for the third of a 3 game week. I'm sure the boys were tired, especially the back 4, who have not changed much recently. A little shakey in the first half with sloppy tackles, but rainy day and tired legs so whatev.

Great time for Gary to find his finishing touch and Taty to find his form. With Isi coming back soon, I look forward to see the three of them light things up going forward.

Also want to note Medina had a great game. He was lively on the ball, brave in tackles, and had some good passages of play. If he could just be a little more selfish at times and shoot sooner and play the ball a little faster, he would have had a complete game imo.

feels great to bury the red bulls. really sad no one was there in person to see it go down. would have been an insane atmosphere!

A week off, then another few weeks for the FIFA break. Should be healthy, but we're really just rounding into form.

Man, what is it about the Derby at Yankee Stadium? Every year it's crazy. We're just always in for a show.

2020: Taty hat trick
2019: Heber backheel
2018: Two red cards (then in the other game Maxi wins it with 5 minutes left)
2017: Villa hat trick

That game was a blast. Wish there were fans there, would have been rocking and rolling. Great, great performance. The team is really playing well right now.

I mean, we could count 2016 for what happened as "every year it's crazy" even though it wasn't too good to us

NYC now has a winning record over Red Bulls from 2016 to date (6-5-2). Of course this is structured just-so to exclude 3 losses, and so I would not throw this in the face of any RB fans, but it is a 5 year record and there is some legitimacy to figuring how we've done excluding our expansion year. This also excludes Cup games where RB has an advantage, but that's a pretty common thing to do.

We've come a long way in the rivalry relatively quickly. I remember leaving the red wedding early (think it's the only sporting event I've ever left early) and at that point it felt like we were going to be in their shadow for A LONG time. We're at least at the same level as them now I'd dare say ahead.

rosenberry will probably get the nod cause it was a full volley, which has higher difficulty level. i still voted for ringy though. :D

if any one cares, i think we qualified to the Leagues cup next year ( that made up cup between liga mx and MLS teams in the middle of the year) assuming they do it. of course we can still qualify for CCL by winning MLS cup ;)
