honestly think the most likely option will be a local-ish USL team. which is fine. we won't get the challenge but there's no guarantee we'd get it with an MLS side either. this scrimmage is just to maintain match fitness and rhythm anyway. so as long as it's above training level speed/quality, that's all that matters.

We could scrimmage the MNT, but that may not be a high enough caliber of opponent with the Columbus spine players.

FWIW, I know some players on eliminated teams are looking for some way to stay fit for their international duties coming up in November. I read an article (I think on the league's website), that some of them were looking to discuss with their clubs on how they could do so.

I was thinking about this on Friday and thought they should have gone to Manchester , trained there for a few days and as it was international break have a game against a Scottish prem team who don’t have many internationals

That's a lot of travel, time difference, weather difference, etc to deal with
Not a bad idea, but with everything you mentioned, plus the players nursing injuries and several missing to international duty, much better to just stay home at our facilities with our full training staff and their own beds and such. It's been a long season.

Sure but the players need the miles/segments for their frequent flier status upgrade.

Where's the tailgate?

Not sure yet, but I'll be doing one for sure. Anyone else to coordinate a Forum's tailgate? Last time I think we did Lot D or F. I'd like to try the Southfield Gate lot for $5 if we can get there early enough. Though I'm not sure they will allow you to bbq there.
