Down & Out
Just saw this over on mlssoccer.com. Imagine if every team in MLS were a local brew.

New York City FC
"GLOBAL WARMER" AMBER ALE - SIXPOINT BREWERY (BROOKLYN, NY)

Let's be frank ... NYCFC's first season was wild. Now the powder blue faithful have their fingers crossed that the Patrick Vieira era will bring about a change in climate and a high-water mark for the club.

Anybody ever try Global Warmer? ;)

For the rest of the League: http://www.mlssoccer.com/post/2016/...nt-creator-imagines-every-mls-team-local-brew

Wouldn't we be Blue Moon? Because they garnish it with orange.

Anyway, MLS really appealing to that millennial crowd with this puff piece.

Yes, its disgusting just like 90% of the beer sixpoint makes. As a fan of good beer I'd say the the comparison insulting.

Yeah I've tried at least four beers from Sixpoint -- all shit imo.

I have no idea what the two guys above me are talking about. Sixpoint makes very good beers. Global Warmer has an 89 on Beer Advocate. Their Sweet Action is my favorite, and the Resin and Hi-Res and both highly regarded beers.

Sixpoint (specifically Resin) is my goto beer when all else fails.

NYCFC would probably be a Session IPA. Big bold performance right up front but completely falls apart at the end...it doesn't even get you drunk...why are we drinking IPA's if we aren't getting drunk?

Session IPAs are a thing that exists?

89 is not a good score on beer advocate since essentially noting gets below a 70 on BA because the ratings are so inflated so 89 is essentially slightly above average. I'll admit I may have been a bit hard on Sixpoint but if we are looking for a beer to compare our favorite team to I'd like to be dealing only in beers in the world-class category on BA.

I like the Session analogy. I also agree that Resin is a good beer, Resin and hi-res are the reason I said 90% of their beer is bad because both of those are decent beers. Don't get me started on bengali tiger though, that's a disgrace to IPAs.

Building on your session proposal I'd go with Other half - Baby Diamonds since we are in our infancy but will soon grow from the 4.8% baby diamonds into a proper 9.1% high octane IPA.
