Jack Harrison [Midfielder]

Got 14min of sub duty today (almost doubles his minutes?) and they scored their only goal and salvaged a point with him on the field - no idea if he contributed to the buildup.

EDIT: Harrison, deep in the Burton box, headed against the bar and Britt Assombalonga was on hand to head home from virtually on the goalline.

EDIT 2: Middlesbrough Official site had the wrong info... It was a right footed shot from Jack not a header.

Boro must have a penalty clause if Jack doesn’t get 5 apps.

Bet they are hardly paying any of his salary, possibly none of it.

I'm rewatching some Behind the Scenes videos from 2017 and seeing Jack Harrison on the field. So I decide to look up how he's doing.

He last appeared for Middlesborough on April 2nd where he came in as a sub in the 75'. He's logged 3 substitute appearances and 47 minutes on the field since coming over on February 3rd for his first match in England. 0 goals. 0 assist.

It's very likely that Middlesborough isn't putting in the development for him as he's not seeing the field. Being a loanee from Man City won't really serve him well. He's not going to make Pep's squad. Maybe we see him back in the states for the ICC match between Man City and Liverpool.

Also, his WhoScored.com profile picture is hilarious.

He did have that shot that rebounded off the bar and was then finished by a teammate. That’s his biggest highlight so far.

Coming in at half season is always a crapshoot. Let’s see where he lands for fall.

ETA: wonder if we could get a summer loan. I think he’d be subject to the Allocation Order even for something like that, so I don’t think it would work out.

Yep. I've heard more than a few times that he WILL be back here this summer though. Just to train, I guess.

Jack came in the 88th minutes with Middlesbrough down to Ipswich 1-2. He got the game time tying assist at 90'+6'.
So he's done that twice now - rescued points the team would have otherwise dropped. And yet he gets zero love there - I'd say CFG really screwed up his transfer placement, or at least the terms of it by not requiring playing time.
