Jack Harrison to Manchester City - Official

Jack is on the bench today vs Norwich.

Totally expect him to see the field. Middlesbrough will either need an offensive spark, or if leading, it’ll be a ceremonial introduction for him.

My initial post had two distinct parts. One of which was ...
f*uck it. don't care enough to explain myself. I'm sure I'm insane and illogical and out of f*ucks.

Whether you know it or not, you are incredibly well versed in all the ways to have a bad faith argument. If it is done on purpose, bravo. If it's unintentional, you're a f*ucking savant.

If anyone out there wants to learn about some the techniques Midas uses, here's a great primer: https://bookofbadarguments.com/

P.S. "I don't care enough to explain myself," is how a bad argument maker extricates himself from a discussion when bad argument techniques are exposed!

Why does homegrown matter in the EPL?

For the Premier League, 8 of the 25 players on your roster have to be homegrown (7/25 in the Championship). For European competitions, you need 4/25 homegrown from your own academy and 4/25 homegrown from your league. It's really helpful when those players are actual contributors instead of filler to satisfy roster rules, so clubs pay a premium for them. And of course they pay an even bigger marketing premium for guys who make the national team.

Can’t I just opt out because of a headache? Sorry I wasn’t clearer initially. Also, sorry I still have no f*ucks to give to even re-read.

You win. Whatever you posted was right. I’m obviously stupid and a poor communicator who was intentionally creating a bad argument. Definitely not just over-served and ADD.

The world will remember Andrea Pirlo. That remains to be seen with Jack Harrison.

There's no way in hell I would trade New York for a boring club like Middlesbrough. Don't care how much money is offered unless its an insane difference. Its not like they are even a PL club not to mention playing for Pulis has to suck away any enthusiasm. Yeah OK if he gets to the PL he will get to play against some of the best teams in the world but what else? Middlesbrough aren't going to progress beyond PL midtable in all likelihood barring a freak situation like Leicester or a major takeover. Much rather stay in New York and achieve something the MLS should already be at the stage where such a move is a step down. They could win the FA or LC Cup of course but that's realistically about it.

He had a green card as well why give that up? It might be easier for him than others to return to the US but that's a step to citizenship...and he turns it down for Middlesbrough?

Well, he's going to make in maybe two weeks over there what he'd make in a year here. Sounds about right to me.

Hot take: MLS will *always* be second class while this is true.

Keep in mind Wigan Athletic in 3rd division just eliminated Man City... giving them hope to qualify to Europe
Can you explain more? Vague pronoun usage is hampering my comprehension.

Nvm. You mean Wigan and Europa league.

Yep. I mean by Jack going to middlesbrough he has chance to have his team play premier league teams via FA Cup and has opportunity to win and go play Europa... Something you wont get in MLS.... Plus the money (not sure how taxes work)
