Can I go with both/and? The "and" being that the Presbyterians where I grew up were a level of self-righteous only matched by the Baptists. And none of them got time for us Episcopalians.

And I should add I always found it odd how smug they could be about not having earned what they consider most important.
Yes, they have qualified for the U20 World Cup, the first game of the tournament is May 20th.
What's on the line? CONCACAF U20 Championship Trophy. It's a trophy.
Tab needs a trophy ... he's a cockroach and I can't believe he's still the U20 coach.
A wee bit extreme calling him a cock roach. Not a fan by any means, but if he gets a trophy his u20 coaching résumé will be the most complete coaching on the men's side. Gotta remember, he was a penalty shootout that went to 8 penalty takers away from being in the semifinals of the last u20 WC. He has so many shortcomings, and his player personel decisions are incredibly frustrating, but he is getting results.
Question for those who understand development. Should the U-20 program be about trophies?
If Tab picks the wrong players, plays them out of position and they don't get any better - but they win a trophy, is that really a success?

Develop their skills, talent, awareness, and everything else that goes into the making of a great players. Developer players for the National Team. That's the mission from U23 all the way down to U14
The only reason winning at that level is important is to qualify for the next tournament against even better competition and thereby add more chances to develop.
Well I have to rescind my JLew hat trick claim since he isn't starting. Tab putting out a near identical lineup since Friday. WTF TAB?!?!
Tab = Jason Kreis... He's a fucking idiot. If he's not with us I want him getting minutes and playing. He's been extremely effective when he has played.

Their draw for the World Cup is Ecuador, Senegal, and Saudi Arabia. They should advance. One of the easier groups.
You say that, and I looked at it and thought we got about the worst choice for us out of every pot...we'll see. These teams can be hard to predict.
