This would make my day.

Has me thinking about what we might get in return.

We've talked about Saad Abdul-Salaam before. Also maybe we have to pull some moves if we want EPB to play here, even though it sounds like he's in contract with CFG?
You called it.

Why would KC make that trade?
For all we know, SAS could have been unhappy there for a variety of reasons and requested the trade. We know that last off season there were talks he’d come here for Tummy. Maybe Khiry was the best anyone would offer, or SKC sees something that we don’t. Bless the rains that they did.

He was somehow riding the bench behind everyone's favorite USMNT RB, Mr. Zusi. Coach/team decided Graham (31 yo, slow) was a better bet for them than SAS (26 yo, speed, was their 2016 defender of the year). I can't even fathom how this makes sense for them, but we also have yet to see SAS fully on a game to game or off the bench basis. Maybe we're missing something major?

Also, anyone see any reaction (positive/negative) from SKC fans on this deal?

ETA: Bless the Rains.

I agree that this seems much better from our end. The only thing I can imagine is that SKC needs forwards, especially after Blessing was taken in the expansion draft. Salaam was sitting behind Zusi, and I guess SKC felt that it would prefer a young striker with good upside to a backup RB, even one as talented as Salaam. There are some issues with that: (1) whether Zusi really is better than Salaam, and (2) the fact that Zusi is 31 and probably not going to be starter for very much longer. It's not a deal I would do in their shoes, but maybe they think they can get Khiry to play with more consistency.

(3) The fact that Zusi is clearly a RM possibly even a RW and it's insane that SKC and worse the USMNT still think this failed RB experiment is a thing.

My guess is politics.
IKR? And yet, whenever I pointed out the sheer absurdity on Twitter, SKC fans acted like someone Weinsteined their mother.

It’s the damnedest thing I’ve ever seen. It’s like all of SKC support and media have a singular narrative that they continually backup, in the face of empirical contrary evidence.

Zusi has, does, always will, suck. SAS may just be okay. But he ain’t their particular flavor of electronic vape pen, so let’s shut it down when it comes to objective analysis.

Ignorant bastards, the lot of them.

Zusi is definitively nothing but shit. I have a long record of accuracy identifying shit, particularly as it pertains to Zusi, and I have him in the top .01 of 1% of shit.
