Kreis Officially Out At NYCFC

The defense was terrible, Villa disappeared for large part of games; but as they say "ya can't fire the whole team" I just don't want a "name" retread as Head Coach
That was my point. I think he lost the team, and at that point, you have to start over. Every second you spend in that situation is just putting you farther back from the starting line.

I call bs on appropriate target, that is corporate speak for we'd like to make the playoffs.

Should we start talking about coaching, formations and player changes are needed for a successful 2017 or is that jumping the boat too soon?

I don't think so.

"Prior to the start of the season, it was agreed with the coaching team that securing of a playoff place was an appropriate target for this year. A win rate of less than one in three games and a points tally which was the second lowest in the league is clearly not in line with the targets that were agreed. "

There you have it. That's what I'm talking about. No reason why this team couldn't make the playoffs. Kreis didn't perform based on what was agreed to before the season. Goodbye!

It begs the question if all of these targets for the year were set with Lampard being here for the full season in mind. And the 3rd DP: Kreis wanted to wait until 2016 for a signing or take that striker but got Pirlo instead midseason.

This firing really has poor implications for the future of NYCFC as coaches would only come to us if they're okay being the puppets of the board (based in the Middle East).

I don't care, I'll take a bag of balls. Kreis is clueless when it comes to managing a soccer team. Clueless.

Get real about what? This doesn't prove to you that NYCFC wants to win? Maybe it's you who needs to wake up.
Your in fantasy land if you think NOW NYCFC will get that golden choice coach to lead us to the promise land. They could have any one they wanted and they went with Kreis and had ZERO patience. What a garbage dump.

Stay off Twitter folks!

Three in seven years isn't actually a great average

The average throughout the Premier League is a little over 2 years. And CFG's average is a little bit distorted by them throwing Mark Hughes out after a season. Mancini presided over a 3 successful years, and Pelligrini is still going (until he retires probably)

Literally everyone in MLS is outright laughing at how stupid this move is. It demonstrates utter cluelessness not only about MLS and building an expansion team, but at their own total failures in team building. Simply put, you can't overrule a guy about the utter folly of signing Pirlo and then fire him when he plays Pirlo (and Lampard) to the utter detriment of his team.

CFG put Kreis in a no-win situation and then fired him for not winning. This goes against everything CFG promised when NYCFC was founded, and those promises were what got me excited about the club and why I decided to support NYCFC. Now that those promises are revealed to be clearly lies, really need to rethink whether I should remain a supporter.

The good news is we have something new and important to talk about, the stadium thread is a bit tired at the moment.

CFG just distracting us from the lack of stadium news. Look, here's Pirlo, he's shiny.

It's also meant to distract us from the fact that the Cityzens points from the last home game haven't been added. Where are my 85 points per card?

1) Kreis was a joke all season

2) there's a long time before the new season to replace him and get the team in order, better than watching him spend half a season screwing things up and then deciding to fire him next year.
