Kreis Officially Out At NYCFC

One of the members of the social media team joined the Magic yesterday. She isn't bad looking either.

I mean it's Twitter. Have you been there before?
Well it was posted here and then multiple people commented on it as if it were worthwhile.

Maybe they need reminding it's twitter, and they should know better than to repost, or favorably comment on, some anonymous asshole on twitter who trolls a club's social media team by responding to the club's social media account by accusing the people running it of having affairs with the just fired coach because 7 seconds of consideration tells anyone with a brain it is not something to bother about.

It was a rough day for Orlando twitter in general. The tweet they posted received all kinds of backlash from their own supporters. Honestly I found it more funny than true. I put it here because the whole thread from that tweet was funny and only responded on Twitter, didn’t retweet. Responses are only seen by people if they’re part of he tweet or looking at the tweet or go to my profile and under tweets & replies.

Interesting article by Mike Bianchi* about Kreis in the wake of his firing.

https://www.prosoccerusa.com/mls/orlando-city-sc/orlando-city-jason-kreis-mike-bianchi-2/

* - Dnigly13 and others will certainly recognize this talented writer who got his start covering college football.
Kinda weak article - and the guy writing it was trying to justify not agreeing with the firing by pointing to the championships Kreis won as a player and coach, as justification that he was capable of the job. Yet he acknowledges that Kreis handpicked the players that were tumbling under him and now the new coach, without looking at the ease of schedule the unicorn 6match win streak was against.

Just felt like fluff without a deep dive - talked to Kreis, and got his point of view, but nothing contradictory and didn’t bother pointing out the same failures at NYCFC.

I think it's appropriate to keep it alive!

Was last night's result surprising to anyone that has followed Kreis for the better part of the last decade?

the better question is if USSF was following Kreis this whole time? i didnt even know he was coaching the Miami B team in the USL in 2020 and did terribly. He has not done well since RSL and there is doubt now if it was him that made the team successful. But hes ok since now he is an assitant of Inter Miami..lol...dude constantly fails and still gets good jobs.

Because the U-23 team didn't qualify for the Olympics?

nah because watching them play the friendlies didn't look very encouraging either. i realize they were also missing some key players... but i don't have faith in berhalter making the right selections to put together a team that will get the job done.

Gotcha. It just seemed to me like you were attempting to connect the two together, since there wasn't any discussion here regarding the senior team, so I was confused, haha.

I don't have faith in Berhalter either, but there was nothing uncomfortable about those two friendlies. I also think it's worth noting that individually, certain players in either game looked really good such as Dest, Pulisic, Reyna, Musah, etc. Throw in McKennie and Adams and you are looking at the most talented core group of players the US has ever had with their biggest weakness simply being experience. And the squad is only going to become more cohesive.
