Man City Discussion

Well, City up 1-0 in the first minute. Glad my coffee was already ready or I might've missed it. Goal in the 53rd second.

Well after 17 minutes it was City 5, Watford 0. So we're getting there. And there've been two clear chances in the 10 minutes since that should've been goals and another few that were pretty close.
Angelino coming on for City at the start of the second half. First appearance. Wearing #12, by the way. Also, 6-0 after three minutes.

Coincidence? Well yes, but still.

just another case of overreaction in my opinion. two good friends joking around with each other. just cause he's black it's inappropriate? what would the reaction be if it was mendy initiating the interaction and comparing bernardo to ... i dunno... some goofy looking european cartoon character? no one would have batted an eye..

how embarrassing .. losing to man u at home like that. there goes the title and the way they've been playing, there's little chance they will win the champions league either. they'll be lucky if they get any trophies this year.

not having a solid back line has been their downfall. getting rid of kompany was a bad move. he may not have had the legs of a young CB, but he was a true leader and this team is just simply without a leader this season.

Manchester is red.

I don’t think they’ve quit or he’s quit. The back line is in shambles. You have a CDM playing CB, our LB is a rotating wheel, our main CB changes week to week and is usually Otamendi who should have been gone already. Sané was one of our top assist men last year, out. Aguero is missing time now. Rodri is playing a bit further back to help cover defensively. There’s a ton wrong right now.
Very static when we get near the box. Hate to say it but David Silva should be on the bench next game. I’d like to see what we look like without him there.
The biggest issue is conceding goals. When we concede and concede early the opposition parks the bus. Happened today as well. We couldn’t break them down after.

It sucks either way, but at the end of the day, I would rather lose the title this way as opposed to having it come down to the wire and losing the title on the last day of the campaign because of some ridiculous VAR decision.

Maybe Pep has already quit it’s just nobody knows it (including maybe him).

They've won back-to-back years. No one's done that since United won 3 straight 10 years ago. It has to be hard to retain that level year-after-year. It's not like they're having a bad year, they're just playing like mortals this year.

Silva was on the bench, as I recommended and I felt like we were much quicker. Foden is a menace. I’d really like to see him involved every week going forward.

Yeah he's looked great the last two games out (against Dinamo Zagreb, I believe, dunno if you have any feels about them haha). He was playing as a left winger at times against Arsenal, but never close to the touchline. It was interesting how little this seemed to affect the overall shape / play.

After 25 minutes City up 1-0 playing at Wolves in the most bonkers game (so far) that I've seen in quite some time. Ederson sent off after 12 minutes for DOGSO way out of the 18 yard box. Then later a penalty kick taken by Sterling which is blocked, but ruled as encroachment so is taken again. And is blocked, again! But the rebound falls right as Sterling's feet and he taps it in.

Well, Wolves win 3-2 after City had been up 2-0 while being a man down. I guess it's been that kind of season, and we're only halfway. Remarkable game.
