Apparently Round 1 is going to be a one off that doesn't count towards any year long contests.

"After the Opening Weekend Challenge, all scores will zero out from the first weekend – even in head-to-head leagues. That means everyone will start fresh in Round 2 as the chase for the grand prizes begins in earnest. Think of it as a round to hone your skills and get familiar with the new rules – with a sweet prize on the line!"

Such bullshit, I'm sorry. I understand if they want to do that for their global leagues, but if we have a serious private head to head league, why take week 1 away from us? I'm really considering keeping standings off-line. I did it in junior high, I can do it now. And I didn't have excel back then either. And had to find stats in the box scores of the paper every morning. Then again, I didn't have a job...

It actually bothers me more on pure point leagues than H2H. The latter are pretty random so mucking with it doesn't bother me. I wonder if the system will even provide matchups for Round 1 in H2H leagues. And if it does, will it just repeat them for Round 2 since Round 1 was officially a test.

It's not that serious. Just let it ride. Everyone knows week 1 is a test week and it won't count it in standings. Only people upset will be those who win

It's just another change to what was a fun system. I'm still not over the fact you have unlimited transfers each week.

I was all stoked to see I'd taken 48 points from the POR v MNU match, until I saw that my H2H opponent, Sam Brylski, had taken 49.

Played the Portland game just right except for giving up the goal...

I had a Portland defender thinking they'll keep a clean sheet and won't score. Superman fucked me.

Otherwise, I'll be loading up on players facing Minnesota. (Thank you unlimited transfers)

Also, I may have to captain the best matchup than the best player. I can't just always give it to Villa.

Thankfully this was a free week. Had him captained for a whopping 2 points.

well fuck me. I spent time worrying about my week one, even revised it last minute, and now i find it doesn't count.

And I also got caught in the gio captain trap.
