Wow. Would the forum be feeling different if this game was coming after the late game heroics that gave us a victory over D.C.?
I’m getting a sense optimism is waning. I get it, I’m in a dip but this is some next (lower) level shi#.

It was a joke my dude lmao. I think we're going to hand it to them, and I'm excited! However NYCFC have this tendency to lose very winnable games in recent years lol

I called it. This forum got WAY too optimistic a couple weeks ago, struggles were inevitable. Now let's bring back the pessimism and get back to winning!

The Crew are going to be missing a lot in this one.

Room, Zardes, Diaz, Etienne, Artur, Valenzuela, BWP, Molino, Morris, Williams, and Fraser on top of Afful
yep, backup GK going to make 7 saves, get MLS player of the week and 2-1 Columbus win incoming
We have a terrible history against depleted squads.

Data source*: My feelings

Per Ronny, Talles will be sit for a while as he's been feeling some pain in his knee. Heber is 1-2 months out from returning, he's not yet fully training with the team.

Everyone else (that is here) is good to go.

At this point I’ll be pleasantly surprised if we get any meaningful contribution from Héber this year. Blanco and Martinez came back from ACL injuries to limited contributions and playing time. Everyone’s different, so this is less a prediction than me just setting my expectations.

At least we aren't quite as reliant on Heber as Atlanta is with Josef that we can afford to wait a bit longer.

Is Talles going to be a failed $8M transfer? The club knew he was coming back from a large injury. Don't sign Talles, keep the Yankee Stadium season ticket prices the same as before. Fans would be happier.

Fans wouldn't be happier. we'd still be whining about a big signing. lol.

Ok, so he's feeling pain in his knee. Did he get checked to make sure his knee surgery was done right? Was he doing rehab the way he was supposed to? I don't know what kind of injury he had, but maybe things were rushed a bit because vasco didn't have the resources CFG has. Either way, they need to treat his injury with care so it's not a career ending injury in the sense that it stifles all the potential he has.

I want to see talles play, but the kid needs to rest and get his knee in order.

crazy that Heber is still 1-2 months out, but not unexpected. Blanco still isn't back. He tried to make a comeback, but still doesn't play and not even sure if he is even training with the team anymore. Heber looked like he was doing some light training with the team (i.e., drills) but wasn't doing any of the match speed drills. Hopefully he comes back in his 2019 form and leads us through the playoffs as a scoring monster. lol. that would be amazing.

Ha! 1-2 months away! Hysterical. Good thing we spent money on a proven goal scorer for all those games they’re making us pay extra for

weren't we supposed to sign a DP striker this summer window? Are we still in the summer transfer window? lol. I can't seem to find out when that window is based on a simple google search. my google-fu is weak today.
