this is strange to have happened twice. maybe the person sending out these emails is setting it for the incorrect timezone? you'd think they would have caught it after the Revs game.
Where does the six minutes come from?
LOL: I'm not going to keep posting photos, but the 6 minute differential disappeared. Now it's 1:59 and 2:59.

That was the weirdest part IMO. An hour difference is a bad mistake, but accidentally setting it to the wrong time zone? I guess I could see that happening. But six minutes? That’s just weird.

When has Medina in the midfield ever worked?
He’s been playing in the midfield nearly all season. He’s better in the midfield than on the wing, but I’m still not convinced he should be receiving as many minutes as he is.

Remember the ways to watch this match are...

In Market: YES App (with cable subscription login)
Out of Market: ESPN+
Unbelievable they can't just put it on YES2, which is literally showing nothing other than a still card advertising a basketball game.
FiOS even believes the game *is* on YES2.
Fortunately my VPN will allow me to watch on ESPN+ by pretending I'm in Atlanta.

Our boys were clearly the dominant team, but the fact that they can almost never come close to matching the xG makes for a nervy finish to even their most dominant performances. I hope Maxi keeps up the level shown in his last 2 games. Gray was good, which in hindsight makes it incomprehensible that Jasson was our RB against Toronto, but whatever. Acevedo also had a good game, although sometimes he takes the bait and commits unnecessary fouls. I didn't see any particularly bad individual performances, which shows our depth; although expecting Gudi to win a run to the endline against the opposing RB is just naive.

Atlanta is trash without Josef. They want to channel Vieira’s playing out of the back but got schooled today by NYCFC’s backups.

I now understand why Martinez won MVP a few years back.

A few comments from the game, kinda in paragraph form, kinda not:
I didn't like the lineup, but Deila proved me wrong. I thought the kids played very well today. Tayvon wasn't getting smoked, Sands didn't have a bad game, Jasson did some nice defensive work... I'm just annoyed that Sands had some really beautiful runs through the middle of the field and then when he was looking likely to stick a nice through ball somewhere, you could see he lacked that confidence... and then would turn sideways or backwards and pass it. That's the difference between world class and "meh" - If you can get that going, James, you're in for an amazing career.

I'm kinda annoyed he didn't bring on any of the new attacking fire power, but I understand the resting of players. I just... meh. Wanted to see the new guys in action live. Johnson live was nice, he made some good saves today (like there were many to make in the first place...)

.... Finally, if I ever decide to buy a ticket to a mid-week game at RB Arena and I'm not working in Manhattan that day, someone please talk me out of it. Got stuck in traffic on both ways making both legs of the trip close to 2 hours each. Plus parking there, don't even get me started.

duly noted. next time, smack you. understood.

i thought Sands would have made the pass if he had the option. ATL were doing some really tight man marking of our forwards and no one really had the pace to get in behind. This is something i think Thiago would have definitely opened things up for us in the 2nd half with tired ATL defenders. His pace would have caused some headaches and opened up space for other people. But I guess we'll have to wait til Sunday to see the brazilian magic.

I have to admit that this game bored me to tears, so I may not have paid full attention, but Jasson didn’t seem to belong on the field, IMO. An MLS team with aspirations can’t have a player of his skill level taking corners or free kicks. He ain’t ready.

Can anyone help with this:

I was pretty sure Taty had a shot early-ish in the game almost directly in front of goal. As I remember, it was a ball that was hard to control, he was moving, and he managed to direct the ball towards goal but with no force and right at Guzan. The problem is the shot charts show he had only one shot in the first half at 37' and it's not at all what I remember plus I thought it would have been earlier than that. I started scanning the overnight game recording but I don't have time to check the whole first half or even first 30 minutes this morning, so if someone can point me to it I'd appreciate it. Maybe I misremember the player? The when? The whole thing?

Also, the overnight recording from YES, was preset for 2.5 hours th which I added 30 minutes. It consists of 58 minutes of Yankee post game show, 30 minutes of Ian and Joe pre-game, and cuts off the actual game with about 15 minutes left. Something is very wrong when the primary overnight replay of a game that was not broadcast live cannot even be recorded as scheduled with a 30 minute cushion.

I can't even complain about the Yankee post game. It probably makes more money for YES than an NYCFC live game does. But they need to schedule the overnight stuff so the replay can happen as scheduled. Just start it later. The Yankee game did not even have extra innings and lasted 3:40 which means for the NYCFC replay to have started on time the Yankee game needed to last only about 2:40 which is almost impossible these days. Average MLB game length this year is 3:08. The replay was doomed before the Yankee game even started.

Keaton's best game of the year by far, felt like he was everywhere last night. Nice to see that from a lineup without Maxi for the first 60 minutes or so. Gudi is still so damn slow. felt there were more passes (1-2's) in Amundsen's 5 minutes than Gudi's entire game. Will be interesting to see what changes are made for our game this weekend, if this really was a "rotation" lineup.

Slog of a game as we figured with ATL's man marking system. We were able to make some space early in the game but unable to finish any big chances (Medina), then allowed ATL into the game for the latter part of the 1st half. 2nd half was essentially all NYCFC, I can't remember ATL really challenging our defense/SJ during it.

Felt there should've been a red in the tackle on Jasson that was studs up and connected with his ankle, but I guess Elfath's 20 minute review didn't make him change his mind.

The replay was doomed before the Yankee game even started.
Much like with the stadium situation, the Yankees aren't interested in doing any more than *almost* the bare minimum to support NYCFC's existence. Nobody at YES has even bothered to notice that YES2 has been displaying a months-old graphic instead of actual content, and the public claim was that our match was live on YES2.

Anyway, in terms of the match what really stuck with me is that our goal only happened because of a bad turnover by Atlanta inside our own half. Had that turnover not occurred I feel this would have ended 0-0.
