No away tickets being sold for this match. All NYCFC in attendance will be buying from a third party site.

I noticed yesterday that Philly has a mid-week game before our match. It’s at Atlanta in the CCL tonight (Tuesday).

I suppose this could give us some theoretical advantage with the game and travel. However, Philly will still have 3 full days off before our match, and it’s early in the season. So, unless they rest people against us on Saturday (which is in between the two legs), I don’t see much of an upside for NYC.

4/27 8 PM at Atlanta
5/1 7:30 PM vs. NYCFC
5/4 8 PM vs. Atlanta

May give us an advantage. I think we may see a A/B team vs. Philadelphia depending on the score after the first leg.

if miami can go to philly and come out with a win (albeit smash and grabby), there's no reason we can't go get 3 points against a full power philly team.

during gudi's preview he said he never really played left back before. said he had to learn defensive positioning and work on his 1v1 defending.

explains a lot. but he's still super slow.

...What? Then why did we sign him?

So what was he before coming here?
I mentioned it before, he was left midfielder. We should try him on the wing once, see what happens.

wasn't he more of a midfielder? but he really sucked in that position in that MLS is back game vs orlando
I mean, that was his first game on the team wasn't it? Hard to judge based on a single performance during a time when the team as a whole stunk and just came back from quarantine etc.

Thanks all. I totally missed the pre-NYCFC midfield thing. I thought it was a weird Ronnie experiment.
If anything, it's actually the other way. Maybe the team bought him and told ronnie "nono play him as a LB!" and he is trying to get him away from LB? Maybe that's why we signed two other LB, because the team knows that Gudi isn't a LB.
