Is there new evidence that Almiron spit at him?

The comments section of that article is nuts.

I bet Almiron did probably spit at Mavinga, but when the league starts suspending players because another player said so, then we have a huge issue. It just doesn't help in this particular instance when they decide to not do anything with Josef earlier, throw in the number of PK's they have, etc.

Josef should have been suspended at least twice this season by Disco and they ignored the circumstances. It’s not even as if they’re trying to hide it anymore.

That's fair, though I don't remember the other one (not saying you're wrong, I just can't remember and I don't like agreeing to things I'm unsure of).

All I'm saying is, I have seen absolutely nothing in this particular instance, that makes me think Almiron should be suspended. It would worry me the precedent it would be setting, if he was.

I’m expecting Josef to run up and do a flying kick at a keeper and fake falling over and still get a PK called. It’s obvious that he is untouchable.

Disco can rule on embellishment that leads to PKs. Martinez has dived at least once off the top of my head, that last game when the keeper literally changed the vector of the ball before Martinez fell over him, and it’s swirling in my head that he’s “earned” 1-2 other PK’s in that fashion.

I love that line from Orlando.

I also completely agree that the Disco's decisions regarding Atlanta have gotten ridiculous.

But the conspiracy theories just belie reality. The Disco consists of 3 former players, 1 former coach and 1 former referee. How are those guys supposed to be part of some conspiracy to aid Atlanta.

It doesn’t have to be a conspiracy. It’s just a directive. “Hey, you like getting a do nothing paycheck? Don’t eff with ATL, asshole.” Hell, could just be implicit.

Pretty sure it has to be unanimous for additional punishment from Disco so it’s very easy to make certain ATL isn’t punished.

Red Bull winning at Chicago. We are in trouble with regards to getting a top 2 spot or that funky CCL spot.

We need to beat them on the 22nd, that's for sure. And keep up otherwise. That means we need 3 points tomorrow as well. Gonna be tough without SJ.
