MLS Week 29 - 2019

TFC taking it to LAFC... drop more points LAFC... DO IT... muwahaha...

if this result stands they'll be at 64 and if we win vs. ATL, we'll be at 60 with 3 games left for each.

Maybe we pull a red bulls and steel the shield at the last moment? How amazing would that be?

It would be amazing. 87 mins TFC still 1 -0 LAFC

That was def a pen tho haha. That was aggravated assault

Of course they got a 90th minute penalty to salvage a pt.

Even more crazy is that LAFC now needs two wins and a tie in their final 3 games to break RBNJ’s points record. This was a given about a month ago. Of course they do have Houston and Colorado at home and Minnesota away which isn’t exactly murderers row, although Colorado has been playing much better lately.

Minnesota away is not going to be easy by any stretch. The other two should be wins, but who knows?!?

Here’s something just as crazy- a month ago Vela was the runaway scoring leader........ but now, he’s sitting on 29 and Zlatan is up to 27. With LAG having Vancouver at home and Houston, seems Zlatan has a nice chance of multi-goal accumulation.

LAG vs Vancouver at home smells like a Zlatan hat trick

When I was scrolling up Twitter to find the game, I was really mad and pissed off that Atlanta won, scoring goals in the 90+ minutes. God damn. Should have been a tie to help us get 1st in the East.
I understand that they were playing a long time down a man, but incredibly lazy defending from Jackson Yueill to allow Hyndman to have that opportunity.

anyone know what happened? orlando esque attack?

There is some information there but not as much as last night. The Seattle fan who Boehm is working off has since protected his tweets. I read them last night and the guy was infuriated and a bit over the top, though perhaps understandably so. When DCU responded to him by saying they would look into it and asked for more info he basically told them to sod off. What I remember him alleging is that DCU security abandoned the Seattle supporters at the gate, and they were almost immediately set upon by by some DC supporters, that security saw this and didn't care or respond. They might have even said it's not their job once people leave the premises.
So it is fairly similar to the account of the Orlando attack. The main difference being I think the Orlando attack came further away from the stadium and security had even escorted the NYC contingent some blocks from the stadium before leaving them on their own, and all was quiet at that time.

i legit didnt think this happened much with other teams. there have been incidents (sadly) with us and reported all over. this is probably first non nyc one i hear of so then it probably happens more often just that no one cares to report it.

are they technically correct though? i mean any away game i been to it really just stops at like half block out of stadium and thats it or even less just at exit of stadium. only in philly game a few years back they kept us like 45 mins instead of 20 since stuff went down during the game. then they left us in parking lot a few feet away

very sad that this sort of thing happens. it's almost like a return to hooliganism. soccer should be bringing us all together and yes, while we may be very competitive and "hate" the other team/rival, in the end, we're all just fans who love the beautiful game. i don't understand why it gets to this level. hope everyone involved is ok and the culprits are swiftly caught and banned.

return to hooliganism? i dont think its been much history of that in the US.

i meant in general, not just the US. not that this is an indication that it is going to be a recurring incident in the league, but it's just sad that there are incidents to begin with.

can't we all just get along?!
