So we win 2-1 and play most of the match with an extra player yet I think we can all agree that the ref almost ruined that match.

75% possession but that was due to the red card, obviously.

We made a ton of chances but no-one had any eye for goal all day, aside from Medina's cute flick and then penalty in the dying embers. We really need Heber back. Very concerned by how easy our defence was split open but at least that should be solved when the international break ends. I know that it would require a substantial re-write of the calendar, but I still think that MLS needs to start factoring in international breaks.

Edit: and how could I forget? TOP OF THE EASTERN CONFERENCE!

Medina's first goal:

Medina's penalty:

Mitri and Ring’s finishing ALMOST cost us points today. Unacceptable. But a great run from Mitri at the end basically won us the game.

Really happy for Medina. He came on and made an immediate impact. That finish on the first goal was superb.

Not even going to go into the reffing, but WOW. Total cluster.

5 dubs in a row and first in the East LETS GOOOOOOOOO

Start with negatives and you deserve to be flamed. This was how good teams win. I hate the Revs maybe more than any living human but they put up a hell of a fight today and we earned this one.

We were patient, we created chances. We never lost our composure.

This board is incorrigible. We just went top with a match in hand against a very disciplined and hot squad and folks are complaining about our finishing. We have won four straight. Our manager fooled us all with a maligned sub who came through in the clutch. Our other maligned DP has turned his game around and won the decisive pen.

SMH. Jeez guys. Bask in the glow for a minute, willya?

Oh and our bedrock defender declined international duty to play this match. We just got one of our most dangerous scoring threats back, and nobody got hurt this week.

So essentially the Heber injury is the outlier.

lol please. You realize you can be ecstatic about a win and have critique as well right?

Five. We have won five straight for the first time in club history.

Yes. But Immediate self-flagellation is comical.

Maybe wait a few minutes. Take a breath. And maybe mention a positive when the outcome is...ummm...positive.

Oh never mind...

My theory is a forward who can take penalties and doesn't fight for it shouldn't be taking penalties.

Medina was possibly in my mind the least likely person to step up. I would have put money on some non-scorers, like Ring, or Ofori before Medina.

I'm quite speechless, really, when I'm not laughing.
