NFL Discussion

Ughhh I live in CT which is split Patriots and Giants territory just so hard to take losing to those guys all the time Rox.

I hear you, man. I really wanted to beat them both times this season but I can't be too upset with that showing. The team is the most promising it's been in a long time.

Giants play the Rams in London on Sunday, 9:30. Not too much else going on at the same time (Man City/Southampton @8:30, RB Leipzig/Werder Bremen @9:30, Torino/Lazio @9). Might watch that and then hopefully right as I get just bored enough of watching Eli throw picks, Chealsea/MU at 11!

Sweet looking stadium too.

The NFL has taken it up a notch with their latest stadiums

Maybe Vegas should get a team and name them Raiders FC or Raiders SC

You know, that wouldn't be the worst idea. The "Raiders" brand has value in all of California given the football team's history. A soccer team under that brand could have a bit of a regional following right out of the gate.

So any other masochists, I mean Jets fans, watching this preseason match for a false sense of hope?

Why are you doing this to yourself? I recommend seeing a therapist.

The D looks good. And the O doesn't look as bad as I expected. I just know they will go 6-10, which means a mid round draft pick (and a 2nd rate qb), no playoffs, and Bowles keeps his job. SOJ. I do need to see someone about this.

Also, you're watching week 1 preseason football.
It boggles my mind how people can do that. I've legitimately lost any enjoyment from NFL or NCAA sports.

They are both so rigged by money and power hidden under the auspices of fair play that I can't stomach it.

Not that soccer isn't controlled by money - it is. But it's pretty fucking transparent about it.

I really have a hard time watching either now simply because (lots of things I won't post on a public message board simply because I don't enjoy reading stupid posts from the sort of stupid people who would reply).

NFL football is the only other sport I still have some interest in, but I think it's because it's a short season, once a week, and the playoffs fit neatly into the MLS offseason.

Pretty much sums it up for me too. I do consider myself a Rangers (NY) fan but I only really bother to watch the playoffs at this point. Don't know how anyone has the time to regularly watch NHL, NBA or MLB regular season.
