technically, shelton went from nycfc to SKC thru trade, then got released and ended up in germany.

Castellanos as left wing back is a very interesting choice
First, I went with an expanded understanding of what would qualify as an appropriate formation. In particular, I wasn't trying for the best 11 in the best formation to win an actual game, but the best 11 deserving of the honor in a formation that met a minimal standard of realistic regardless of its tactical effectiveness.Castellanos as left wing back is a very interesting choice
Second, I look at it as more of a 3-4-1-2. Of Taty and Tinny, the latter has much more responsibility for defensive cover, and Callens is expected to lock down the left. When appropriate it could shift to a 4-3-1-2 with Tinny sliding back or 4-2-2-2 with Taty moving in front of Ring and Herrera.
Third, I don't hate Mata, but it annoyed me that he was a unanimous pick primarily because there's no LB alternative, so I looked for a way to exclude him, and this was the solution.
