NYCFC in the Media Thread - 2019

I would imagine the Club could ban anyone they want.

Are there any posters on here that are members of the NYC SC? They seem to be a problem.

Los Templados also a problem? Wasn’t Jonathan Sanchez in charge of The Third Rail one year roxfontaine

Jonathan Sanchez was a founding board member then resigned in the summer of 2015.

To be honest, I'm pretty glad this article came out. The team has had its head in the sand for years. some light beings shined on the problem might be the impetus they need to actually address it.

No, I don't know what the answer is. But I do know the team should make it much more uncomfortable for any group who supports these people. Revoking supporters section sanctioning, not allowing these fans to take advantage of special access like cheaper tickets to road games, stuff like that.

I would never sit in our supporters sexrion at an away match. I’m headed out to Columbus and after reading about that douche nozzle on the trip to Philly, I’ll find my own seat.

No issue with him writing the article but when ‘journalists’ start doing stuff like this it’s really annoying. What does Patricof taking a pic with 2 random supporters in an airport have anything to do with the clubs stance on far right political groups?

Does anyone here know anyone quoted in the article ? Kudos to the fans who did the work in pushing this forward.

Mariana Glocer must be having a bad day. Good.

The best news about this going to such a large media operation is that sunlight is the best disinfectant. Hopefully it does the trick once again.

The first quote from Ring makes me wonder if Villa just wasn't up for carrying the load physically. We never should be that reliant on a 37-year-old. We discussed this last year that players seemed to be looking for him maybe in spots where they should hold the ball or find a different run. Great opportunity to see if we share more instead of forcing the ball to David. It wasn't a bad strategy early in his career here, but it seemed more and more obvious that it wasn't working.

Now there is a writer who knows the team! Though we won our first ever playoff round last year. We had already won a playoff game vs Columbus with PV, just lost in aggregate. (Guess we don’t have to worry about aggregate wins anymore)
Nice catch, but this was a good and fair article. And he was really dishing it to Dome in that section you quoted (and elsewhere). He said Torrent “derailed” our MLS Cup hopes and that the difference from Vieira was obvious in the playoff loss to Atlanta.

Yup, I said he's like the only journalist who actually knows the team really well. I say that because I can read his stuff and nod my head in agreement.
