If he really wants to come to MLS and we didn’t bother making a bid that’s a shame.
he already had off field business links (coffee shop i think?) with dc united. I think basically they had dibs.
He's super soft and has attitude problems. No hustle in him either. Glad we weren't in the running.
quick google news search and it looks like he's been linked with MLS for a few weeks now, few different clubs mentioned. Initially it was mostly Orlando with NYCFC only starting to be linked by name in the last day or so.
A quick google search yields LM,LW,CM. Parks, but not as central
he is a LW i read, so if anything he will be taking Mitri/medina spot ( not in terms of DP i dont think but on the field).
Sounds like he's not necessarily a goal-scorer but has a high work rate and contributes defensively. Seems a bit of a different profile than the wingers we have typically targeted.
Cervi, Fountas, and Santiago Rodriguez would be an entirely new front three. Heber, Castellanos, ITS, Medina for depth. I have a feeling that's the kind of acquisition set we need to expect. A high floor medium ceiling team.

Yup, and not really complaining. Seems well regarded by Benfica fans who I've seen annoyed that he doesn't get more minutes. Raving about his work rate. The kind of guy that would make us really annoying to play against. So long as we have a consistent goal threat at the 9.
