There's a lot of money in cocaine too. Doesn't mean it's smart

What exactly is not smart about it? It's not like it's costing the club money (well, any more than is literally spare change in the club's pocket), he doesn't take a space up against the cap, it doesn't affect the team's performance. It's literally a no-loss decision. Even if you think the team gains nothing from it, they still lose nothing either.

They lose nothing until he lines up against a kid wearing a Rushden & Dianmonds FC jersey and loses [i kid]

I would like to see the club I support as a fan and financially use all of their resources to improve the club. If I was prioritizing the 24 hours in the day, it would be:

1) Building a stadium
2) Improving the team
3) Building an Academy
4) Improving the game day experience

97) Bringing back Carl's Cheesesteaks
98) A fat kid playing make believe sports

It's a waste of what seem to be limited resources to spend a penny on this shit.

Hahaha. If you think that this is going to prevent any money from being spent on anything else then you are free to do so. But it's not going to.

First of all, the resources aren't particularly limited at CFG. That said, you understand that sponsoring this kid is a marketing campaign to bring NYCFC brand awareness to potentially *hundreds of millions* of people, right? For the amount this probably costs CFG the potential ROI represents an extremely shrewd use of ad-buying dollars.

Esports is big and has one of the fastest growing viewerships of any "sport". It's just marketing. I don't think those dedicated to marketing are also tasked with your specific concerns. If it weren't this, they'd have spent their day making another unfunny Pirlo video.

This is the dumbest thing I've ever seen our club do. And we fake signed Frank Lampard once
Do...do you not remember our first season?

Watching him play Okoli makes me realize how truly terrible I am at FIFA17.

OK, I was maybe with you at the top of your list but when you put Carl's down at #97, well, that's just going too far.

Sorry guys. I can get on board with it being a marketing ploy. But I'll just never come around to my Nintendo 64 Goldeneye abilities to be a transferable skill.
