Official Nycfc In The Media Thread 2015

This is all part of the plan. To get as much media attention and ticket sales as possible. Hence why they signed the legends they did, whether they're good or not. Especially Pirlo and Villa, with the high hispanic and Italian populations in the tri-state area.

Nice picture of Man City to lead off the article with
Lol yeah, obviously a nobody writer who doesn't know jack shit, but its out there nonetheless.
First, there's a good chance the writer had nothing to do with the image selection.
Second, lots of people who work for publications that have a Getty account run Google image searches in the form "getty images ____"
Guess what the first image result is for "getty images new york city football club"
https://www.google.com/search?q=get...ChMIg67L3cvvxwIVSGs-Ch102gH_&biw=1418&bih=754

And the reason for that is this story, published in March, titled "NYCFC will be MLS version of Manchester City" and that image has the caption "New York City Football Club may resemble Manchester City of the premier league."

CFG could have avoided this. Mistakes like this were inevitable once they made the uniform decision they did. And I doubt many care.

All true, but doesn't make me any less mad about my team being trashed by someone who is apparently also a fan. I didn't realize at first but I think its someone local, so I'm gonna just let it lie to avoid it getting ugly. Carry on, interwebs. Nothing to see here.

He basically says they've been terrible so far - completely true. And says they need to step up in the last 7 games or be considered a failure. I call that being a fan.

Jeff, the author of the article is a NYCFC fan. He's been involved for at least a year. When I was in NYC, we used to play at the piers with TR and BB guys.

I think the majority of people who think Pirlo is doing poorly only really look at his defense. It's insane how many passes he makes that places the ball on the foot of a teammate while passing 4-6 defenders. A guy like Messi can dribble through that fodder, Pirlo plays the angles and calmly passes through it. He's not an athlete anymore, sure, but his passing is still the best MLS has seen.
