Official Nycfc In The Media Thread 2015

The Guardian published a little think piece about expansion teams in the MLS and whether NYCFC and Orlando might have reason to feel better about how their inaugural seasons played out.

They also repeat the Viera in for Kreis rumor.

However, one glaring error is their contention that NYCFC wasn't good until Pirlo and Lampard arrived, while as we know the team was probably at its season best right before those dudes showed up. So clearly they weren't paying that much attention.

Or they did pay attention but their european bias makes it impossible for them to even fathom that their european heros dont just come over here and dominate games like Lebron James playing pick up ball against a bunch of 10 year olds.

Thought you guys might get a kick out of this one:

World Soccer Talk wrote an article today saying that it would be being disrespectful and unfair to NYCFC fans if Jason Kreis got sacked. They also seem to think that Kreis shoulders no blame for the squad problems:

I saw that earlier and got pissed off reading it. I was going to go off on twitter but figured that would just lead me into a tunnel of hate and anger I didn't need on this fine rainy Wednesday.

Also loved this part
"And when NYCFC’s fans look across the river to see the Red Bulls renaissance, they can do nothing but scratch their heads."
Yes we shouldn't fire our coach after 1 season and instead model ourselves from a team that just fired their coach after a successful season and with the new coach just won the supporters shield.... right.. got it.

It's a one-off friendly a bit like the MLS All-Stars match, but played between a Kuwait XI and a World XI. It's nothing really.
It's a cool idea though. A team featuring Ronaldinho, Pirlo, Scholes, Pires, Puyol and Zambrotta coached by Ancelotti should be nothing but fun to see play.

I expect this to be like a game of FIFA 16.
